Super easy to install. You have to make sure it's at a height that will allow the door to close easily (mind the gap 😅). For me, it was about 1/4 of the way down. We got this because we have a family member suffering from early onset Alzheimer's and we need to keep them from opening the door and running out. Since the door is white and there is difficulty with spatial recognition and similar colors, this works perfectly. I watched them unlock the door and lean to try to force the door open and the hinge held sturdy. If you're having to worry about a loved one with dementia escaping and getting lost or in the world, consider getting this. We were thinking of getting a smart lock... but it's still a deadbolt. This is totally unrecognizable and blends into our white door. It gives us peace of mind and keeps our family safe. Also, funny enough we never considered the original intention- added layer of security to the deadbolt 🤣

We got these for my autistic son who will constantly elope from his home and now I can finally sleep peacefully at night! He's figured out every lock we've use besides this one.. if you have a kid that elopes get this and install it as high as you can. It's sturdy and easy to lock and unlock so there's no fumbling around in case of an emergency!

it works great and easy to install. however its suppose to come with 3 inch screws and it came with 1 inch screws. i just used my own 3 inch screws. i did have issues when i made it flush with the door molding when it was flush it was hard to lock. i had to push the door in and then it would lock. i re-adjusted the lock towards me (as shown in the red arrow) and it locked perfectly.i had my 7 year old reach up so he can unlock it in case it was locked by accident, that's the height i made it. put the lock on the side of the door jam, marked the holes, pre-drilled holes, then installed the lock. works great.

We have several young grandkids who are at the age they’re tall enough and have figured out doorknobs and how to get inside closets and rooms they don’t need to be in, OR outside the house whenever they want to. These locks quickly put an end to that haha. They also add another layer of security on the exterior doors whenever you want to use them. They are really strong, and they’re also not hideous looking either. They blend right in with white trim, and are very durable.Don’t believe any of the reviews about how hard they are to put on, don’t work correctly, or that the screws are no good. They work fine and are easy as can be to put on. We have them on all our exterior doors now, as well as other doors and closets in our house.

While the included screws are sufficient, I found that the instructions provided were not as clear as I would have liked. Clearer instructions with diagrams or video tutorials would be helpful, especially for those who are less experienced with DIY projects.On the positive side, the TOYFUL Door Reinforcement Locks do perform their intended function well. Once installed, they add an extra level of security to my doors and give me peace of mind. The locks are easy to operate and provide an additional barrier against potential intruders.

The media could not be loaded. Our kids are between 5 and 7 years old and when someone would come and ring our door bell they are eager to see who it is and just open it for anybody! We installed these and these give me peace of mind that my kids can’t open the door to a stranger. Easy to install. The design is sleek and modern which matches with our home decor. I highly recommend these for safety!

We bought these to help keep my kiddos in the house at night because I have some that sleep walk really bad and we are terrified of something happening! These have made us all feel more secure!

Use these to keep grandsons from opening doors, they can teach the normal locks.
