General Purpose Quartz (GPQ) Field Wrist Watch with Date, Tritium - WW194015

A very unique looking field watch. I really like the utilitarian style. The quartz movement is very quiet and the tritium lume is bright and clear to read. The hands hit the printed indices almost perfectly, which is a really neat feature the only quartz watch that I own that does that. I don't mind quartz movements but I probably would have bought the automatic version of this watch if it was close to the same price and also included a date window. From what I can tell the automatic uses the Seiko NH35 which has a date wheel, so it's I'm not sure why they omit it on that version.My only minor complaint is that the strap was pretty stiff out of the box but softened up after running it through a couple of wash cycles. The only other thing that could be better would be a better water resistance.I've included a couple of pics with my review; one wrist shot on my dainty 6-1/4" wrist and one of the tritium lume.

This is a great watch!!!! The markers and hands glow bright and are easy to see. I did replace the watch band with an old school wide leather watch band. And now it's a combination of old school and new school.

This is the best watch as far as night illumination, I could always easily tell the time. I found the watch to be a bit thick to be really tactical. It has a tendency to get caught on back pack straps etc. The most disappointing thing was the moisture inside the Chrystal. I do not dive or swim in this watch, it fogged up and stayed partially cloudy for several days. I contacted the company and they offered to fix the watch. I would have to mail it back, get it repaired and then mailed again from Europe. This minimum four weeks without a watch was unacceptable, so I simply decided to keep. Would I buy this watch again? No

I received this watch on time and was impressed with its good looks. Unfortunately terms like "mil-spec" and "water resistant" do not accurately describe this product. I'd previously read a couple other reviews on Amazon and other sites that mentioned issues with condensation, but I just assumed those buyers got a lemon. Either I also got a lemon or the design of the watch is flawed.I wore the watch during the day for a couple of weeks. After some yard work on a humid July day, I noticed moisture under the crystal. The watch had never been submerged or anything like that.I requested a return via Amazon and that was quickly approved, but after shipping the watch back to Marathon with the provided label, I did not receive timely communication about the status of my refund, and in the end had to involve Amazon with an A-to-Z claim, wasting a lot of my time in the process. I did receive my refund (thanks to Amazon) weeks after I returned the watch, but buyers beware of the unsatisfactory quality of the product and Marathon's lack of customer service.

I have had this watch for 5 years. And it still going strong. Not had to change battery yet.

If you are looking for a compact accurate watch that looks and feels good and doesn't dominate your wrist then this gem ticks all the boxes.

Very nice finishing and craftmanship for a watch produced in such big numbers to supply various military kits. The small size was scary at first but after a full week of wearing it day and night, it become second nature to your body. I'd rather have gotten the Mechanical version and Maraglo but neither of them came with the date window.So the new quartz has a small access to the battery, making it easier to replace the it without having to remove the whole caseback. I'm now looking foward to buy a TSAR or GSAR 36mm!

I am very pleased with this purchase. The watch looks great and is very easy for me to read in the light or dark. It is light on the wrist and the wristband is good quality. I also purchased the marathon clip on compass and it comes with the same wristband at less cost then buying the band on it's own and also works great. Pleased with both and recommend

Yes, it's small, but you don't even notice it on the wrist. Very clear and easy to read. I look forward to bringing this hiking. It's very unassuming but it feels solidly built. The sapphire is clear. The date function is handy. And the tritium is amazing. I went with quartz because I wanted the accuracy and didn't want to have to remember to wind it.
