Very well made readers
These are the best readers Iโve ever bought. Very good quality. Mulitifocus is great! Definitely recommend!

Worth it.
Reading glasses are the bane of my existence. I've worn glasses since I was 4 years old and got gas permeable contacts when I was 16. My contacts deal with an astigmatism and I see (distance-wise) much better with my contacts than when I wear glasses. But as I've aged, my near vision has gone down the crapper, and I find that I can't see anything small without help. I've tried so many pairs of reading glasses, and even begged my eye doctor to prescribe a lens so I could get real, well made readers with quality lenses. No such luck. But I've finally found reading glasses that I actually LIKE. These Foster Grant Multifocus glasses are great! First, the lens itself is the closest to a "real" lens than I've every encountered: it's not dingy, foggy and dark which is the case with other cheap readers. There's no distortion, pockets of waviness or other distracting optical aberrations. My eyes don't feel stressed after wearing them for extended periods.I really love this particular design, as well. Originally I bought a pair of wire rimmed readers but that style has the hinged nose piece, which is fine when you're wearing them, but if I put them on top of my head (like so many of us do when we want to keep them handy but need to look to the distance), the hinge would tangle in my hair. I'd look silly untangling them, it would leave my hair a mess, and worst of all, pull out clumps of hair. This style looks good - they're big enough to cover the eye but aren't silly looking. I like that they cover the whole eye - I'm not tempted to look over them, which I think makes me look older. They have a nice weight, but they're light but feel well made.Speaking of well made... I've had these glasses for a couple of months, and a while ago I managed to put a stack of textbooks down on top of them. The one ear piece was badly bent but I was able to just bent it back into place. Honestly, they should have been goners as soon as it happened, and I kept waiting for them to actually break, but it took more than 5 weeks. I just ordered 2 more pairs, one for home and one for school. They're expensive, but well worth it.

Great until they break, 3rd pair to do so, won't buy again, bottom frame so thin
Great multi focal, cheaply made frames that break Everytime I've been very careful. Too expensive to keep replacing. So mad.

Love these!
I originally bought a pair of these when my ophthalmologist suggested I may need progressive lens but that I don't actually need glasses for every day use. Up until then I was wear readers, but it was starting to get annoying because I kept having to take them on and off. I gave these a shot and I loved them! I ordered the 1.5x magnification for the first pair. I love them. They fit so comfortably and they look great. Haven't had any problems with them bending or breaking. They are VERY sturdy.Over the next year my vision deteriorated a bit more, so I also ordered the 2.0x, but they were too strong at the time. A recent trip to the optometrist and I got a pair of prescription glasses. I prefer the 2.0x version of these better than my rx glasses, so I wear those now (I just ordered a second pair as a spare). Again, I love these. They are perfect. In total I have 3, one pair at 1.5x and two at 2.0x.Obviously everyone has a different size head and eyes are at a different distance apart so just because they are great for me, doesn't mean they will be great for everyone. As for the reviews of people breaking the frame, I really don't know how that can happen. Mine are super sturdy, more so than the prescription ones that I got from my optometrist. They also stay on my face, so I can't see how they would break unless I banged my face on something!!

I love it! What I didn't like was reading glasses
Thank You!Since having cataract surgery last year I have been a slave to reading glasses. After years of being near sighted I chose distance vision with my surgery. I can now see out side without glasses, everywhere, especially at the beach watching my grandchildren when then are in the water or collecting shells. Driving at night? Now no problem! I love it! What I didn't like was reading glasses...putting them on to read, taking them off to do something then finding I put them down and walked away then had to find them....many times day. I couldn't read the directions on a microwave package and run the microwave. Worst of all I am a nurse, and I couldn't read my Medication Administration Record, ie- "MAR" and then look up and see the patient to give the med without putting my glasses on my head, or taking them off. The change in focus actually made me nauseous. These Multifocus glasses have changed my life! I can now do my medication passes without removing my glasses. I can read a book and look up to answer a question from my husband without feeling dizzy. I can read directions of how to cook something and then follow those directions without removing my glasses. I am happy! When I had my cataracts surgery the Doctor asked me how would I be less dependent of glasses. I thought as I was nearsighted, that having long vision sight would make the difference, so that was my choice. It worked for long vision, but then close vision became the problem and a new adjustment. These multifocus glasses have solved this new problem. Yes I need to wear the glasses as often inside as I did my others outside, But my dependency on glasses for sight is really less, and less expensive.Seeing outside long distance, not a problem. Seeing inside with multifocus lenses lets me get through my day without pulling off my readersand spending time looking for them again to read something. I love them. I wish more stores carried them. My only problem is that they are not widely available. The ones I have are not stylish for me. They are stark black, my coloring would like brown.

Not up to Foster Grant quality
Frame could be sturdier, not very comfortable to wear, lenses are fine, description should mention that frame is matte finish.

Great glasses but frame broke after 2 months.
These glasses are great for reading both printed material and my computer. But the frames broke 2 months after purchase. Trying them again, hoping it was a fluke.

Simply great progressive readers, sewing, and computer use
I ordered these in the 2.5 magnification and am absolutely blown away at how well they make it possible for me to transition between a multitude of household and professional tasks. I can see tiny print on medicine bottles and food labels again and everything on my computer screen too. Highly recommend.

Probably testers or samples
The exterior of the lenses are imprinted with a circle and the strength of the glasses in your line of vision which makes you think there's lint or a scratch on them. I bought them online before and one lens had it but I noticed after it was too late to return them. This pair has 4 imprints!! Very disappointed.

Not too sure about these. I really liked them but they seem to have gotten a milky appearance to them. They're great for looking across the table as described and saves you grabbing another pair or going without. I will keep using and may or may not buy another pair depending on vision.
