Swan SK31040CN Retro Jug Kettle With Temperature Dial, Fast Boil, Easy Pour, 360 Degree Base, 1.5L, 3KW, Cream

This is a lovely kettle, part of the range of retro cream kitchen items from Swan. It goes nicely with other items that we have in the range, and looks really nice on the worktop. The outer case is metal at the top but plastic for the cream portion. It isn't very heavy which is nice, and it shows the temperature of the water on the gauge on the front.

I don't know how to use a kettle, but my wife said she adores it.She's making a cuppa right now and shouted "give it five stars" at me from the kitchen.

My first criteria was high power rating - 3kW - and second the visual appearance. Both are fulfilled, this is quick kettle, looks good and thermometer is nice to have if you don't always need boiling water. However, overall feel is rather light and somewhat flimsy as all cream coloured external parts are plastic - resembles white chocolate. Blue led seems to be fashionable but in this case e.g. orange might have been more retro for an indicator light - see attached picture.

Excellent kettle looks great n boils fast,swan are the best kettle maker! Pouring spout is a trickle Though So Had To Remove Filter For Better Flow Instead I Put A Kettle Descaling Mesh Ball Inside.....Update! Its Stopped Working Awaiting Response

Great looking kettle but may faults . The swan label was hanging off the kettle when it arrived . The kettle is very noisy when boiling and also it only holds 2 & 1/2 cups of water . Useless and not worth the money :(

Kettle arrived on time but it was only in it original box no outer packaging to protect it so the lid has afew dents in it which didn’t really bother me as it is a lovely kettle, but straight away I noticed the base the kettle sits on the middle connector isn’t straight so when I put it on to boil after filling it I have to push the small round connector in the middle of the base until I hear it clip otherwise the kettle won’t work , so abit disappointing,i really should of sent it back but had no kettle so just kept it, shame as it is a lovely kettle they should of packed it correctly before sending it out as it had no protection .

This kettle is extremely noisy when boiling & the lid rattles..... its a shame because its a lovely looking kettle.
