Quality Importers Adirondack Humidor

Buying from this seller was the worst experience that I have ever had.How? Let me count the ways:1) The Humidor came broken and looked as if it was used. The Spanish cedar siding in the inside was loose and could actually be slid off. I called the company and they had me take pictures and jump through hoops before they made a decision as to whether they would accept the item back and give me a replacement. After their investigation and some time, I was sent a replacement.2) Replacement, damaged in exactly the same way, looked like it was used and the top shelf was broken, for added insult. The company refused to send me the UPS slips until, I again took pictures and jumped through hoops to get a refund.This was after I asked them to send me the slips to mail the items back to them, because I did not want to do business with a company that would send me a damaged replacement item. I told them that I was insulted that they would sent me a replacement item that was damaged in EXACTLY the same way, as the first. That their customer service was lacking and to just send me the UPS slips and I would send them back the item.Instead, what they wanted me do was to again, take pictures and go through their investigation again. I told them, that I was not their employee and that I had already tried doing it their way once and that all I got was an insult, because I got a replacement product damaged in exactly the same way, plus some. That I would not jump through the hoops again, and that all I wanted was for them to send me the UPS slip so that I could send it back to them and just get a refund.They absolutely refused to abide by this request. Even after I made repeated requests for them to just send me the slips for me to send the damage product back to them. I even talked to a manager and he told me that they would not send me the slips until I took pictures and went through their investigation. I told them that I would not play this game with them. That all I wanted was to send them back the damaged humidor. They said that that was not possible because I did not take the pictures. That they would not be making any money without me taking the pictures and refused to send me the UPS slip.I told them that all I wanted was to send them back the damaged product, that I would not act as their employee and go through an investigation again, that I had tried it already and all I got was the same result, plus some.I had to finally abide by their rules and after a while finally got my money back, but only after I did what they told me.I will never buy from them again. They do not care about listening to their customers and will squeeze everyone through their very narrow policy, even after all you want to do is send them back their damaged product.Absolutely terrible experience.P.S.I put this company on notice that I would be writing this review and that it would not be a good review. That I was giving them fair notice that it was coming, because of their terrible service. I did not make it conditional, I told them that it was coming, no matter if they decided to refund my money.P.S.SThis was a truly terrible experience. Who has the time to deal with such a terrible company? After a while it was a matter of principle and I spent to much time arguing with them and trying to get my money back, but I did not want them to get my money.

I'm giving this one star because I ordered the one pictured and recieved a totally different one. I was very disappointed because I thought I was getting the one that resembled a chest and received a plain wood box.

I bought this item thinking it was made from distressed/reclaimed wood, that is not the case. It is simply a laminate covering the box. That being said, it does work great as a humidor so I cannot knock it below 3 stars. A more detailed description would have helped.
