DII Everyday Basic Kitchen Collection, Chef Apron, Aqua

I actually love this product. It is pretty basic, not heavy duty, but tough enough. My husband and I each have one of these (black and sage colors) and we've had the sage colored one for almost 2 years with light to moderate use. I find the fabric to be the perfect weight for our purposes which are basic cooking and some grilling. I probably wouldn't recommend this for heavy grilling use because it is not super super thick, but that said,, we've not had any oils or cooking liquids soak through yet and we have definitely put them to the test in this department 😉The fit is definitely designed for larger people. My chest measures 46" and waist is 36". This completely covers me from one shoulder joint to the other, with a smidge of gape in the middle, and covers the entire front of my waist as well as my sides, but doesn't quite go all the way around the back. So I would even say that it is particularly well suited for someone with a large bust/chest as well. My husband wears size XXL(not sure of measurement just know its way bigger than mine) with super broad shoulders/chest, is larger through the belly and this fits him quite well with no gaping in the chest and full front coverage through the midsection. The waist ties go all the way around me allowing for a small bow tied in the front. They do not go far enough around my husband to make it around to the front, but they are long enough to tie a normal sized bow in the back. The neck strap is plenty long enough for each of us; when comfortably adjusted, I have about 6" to spare and he has about 2. The aprons seem to wear very well with somewhat frequent machine washing/ drying; no thinning or fraying so far and very minimal fading. Also no tearing or wear marks to date.

Tired of splatters on my clothes and invested in an apron. I’m 5’6 and the apron covers almost to my knees and has a very generous tie. The sides also cover well. I love the aqua color and although it’s meant to protect my clothes, I’d be bummed if this got splatters on it, too! The neck band is ample and totally adjustable. For the price the fabric is nice, the pockets are handy and it does the job. Recommend.

Not thick durable fabric as anticipated, thin - not for painting! Ordered the hot pink which came in closer to a bright red. I use it when working on pottery so it serves its purpose, but it’s just eh. Paint would definitely bleed through this apron.

The aprons came in looking wonderful. The color was the right color for the food truck, and they are nice sturdy and strong material they wash well and come out looking like new love these aprons.

I bought this apron for work. It washes up nicely and I run my iron over to get any little wrinkles out. It's useful and I love the pocket in the front.

I do machine embroidery on aprons which requires that the apron be pre-washed. The care instructions call for cold water on the gentle cycle. Really? Who wants an apron and has to be treated like fine lingerie? The fabric is very soft and has a very nice drape – perfect for a blouse – not so practical for a kitchen apron that requires washing in warm or hot temperatures. Also, the bib is too wide across the top so that the apron gaps open and does not lay flat across the chest. I've bought this apron in another version in the past. This time I purchased the plus size in the sage color. I do wish the pocket on this one is like that of the others, and as described, and is one LARGE pocket rather than having it stitched in the center to make 2 smaller pockets.Description reads: LARGE CENTER POCKET: Aprons have a HUGE center pocket, perfect for storing spoons, spatulas, herbs, spices, towels, recipes, or any other accessory you need close at hand while baking, cooking, grilling, gardening, or craftingIt is still a decent apron but I don't like that the pocket is separated into two smaller sections.

This is the best apron I've ever owned. I am an artist and furniture artist. This covers all of me front and sides. It's lightweight but tough, and I adore the color.
