XylichewLicorice Xylitol Gum, Sugar Free, Non GMO, 60 Pieces (Pack Of 4)

I bought this to help relieve silent acid reflux symptoms (sensation of throat tightening or lump in throat) after eating. I chew 2 pieces after each meal and it has helped. I like the sweet licorice, anise seed flavor and I wish it lasted longer as it only lasts the first few minutes of chewing. I think most gum flavor is that way though so, doesn't bother me much. This gum holds a good chew (doesn't disentegrate) so I chew for an hour or 2 so as to keep the saliva flowing. Something about saliva production supposedly helps neutralize the acid. It works for me and I just ordered another bottle. So, not perfect, but serves an important purpose for me so 5 stars.

I had only just discovered Spry's licorice xylitol gum and loved it, then it started to be hard to find with my usual retailer even telling me it isn't made anymore, so I am trying other options. This is very good too. Tastes like real licorice, and doesn't lose its taste or texture for AGES. We'll be buying this again regularly.To compare the two: the Spry has a smoother texture but a more one dimensional taste. This has a multifaceted taste, a bit more like real licorice root (whereas the Spry is more like licorice jellybeans), but the texture is a bit grainy and sticky. Both are great but I couldn't say which is better. I guess it depends whether you prioritize smooth texture or superior flavour. But you can't go wrong with either brand if you like licorice.

Husband is diabetic and so we avoid sugar, etc... xylitol is supposed to be good for your teeth. Good news, it contains NO aspartame. The only disappointment is that the flavor doesn't last longer than maybe 10 minutes. So he is disappointed by that. Beyond that, it says the black licorice flavor is very good. It is a very small jar too. I think a bit spendy. Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. I was shocked at how good it taste. I really get my black licorice fix without all the calories. It takes two pieces for a good chew. Which doesn’t not last like my old Orbit , but it’s long enough. Without the BHT .Very pleased.

This has great flavor, at first... but then quickly tastes HORRIBLE & then FALLS APART as you chew it!I had to spit out pieces of it in less than 2 minutes!I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!I like the other "Xylichew" flavors, none of them have flavors that last long...but they don't fall apart like the black licorice flavor!

Good: The black licorice flavor is astounding. Tastes like chewing good and plenty candy.Bad: The pieces are half the size of normal sticks of gum. The texture is not smooth like normal gum. The flavor is gone in a dozen chews. Priced as a luxury item. Expiration date in 4 months.

The flavor is strong enough to keep it's flavor for a long while. It's very nice . Tastes just like black licorice. It is soft chewing gum as the label states. I notice a faint taste that reminds me of cream of tartar- maybe it's the gum base, but it's not bad. I highly recommend this product!

I ordered this gum because I read that Chewing it is supposed to help with keeping your teeth clean and with keeping your mouth from getting dry. The taste is good however the flavor is gone within 10 minutes and the prices are so small and they disintegrate so I need to keep replacing them. Making them very expensive 🤷‍♀️
