A Close Version Of The Original
Right up front I have to admit that I bought mine from Guitar Center for the financing. I really like this guitar because itâs very close to the original 1955 Fender Stratocaster that Buddy Holly played. It has a âsoft vâ shaped neck profile, pickups designed to sound (subjectively) like those of the 1950s, single-ply pickguard and tremolo cover plate, 1950s-style tuners, and cloth-covered wiring under the pickguard. However, it DOES have the five-position pickup selector switch for which I am grateful. I bought the seafoam green version because the two-color sunburst version is regrettably only available in the âmodifiedâ configuration, which is NOT as close to the original guitar. However, I must say that the seafoam green strat is quite striking and reminds me somewhat of the â7-Upâ green version of the Eric Clapton signature strat. This guitar looks wonderful, plays easily, and sounds good but, as I noted earlier, may or may not sound just like the 1950s strat to your own ears. As someone who has played for almost 50 years, I can honestly say that I truly ENJOY owning this model Stratocaster very much! One possible drawback is that the truss rod adjusts at the heel of the neck (just like the original), which can be problematic but is still workable. In any case, itâs a GREAT guitar and worthy of serious consideration for both players and collectors alike.

Product setup and quality control issues
The pick guard is buckling in front of the bridge. The guitar was not set up in the slightest. Bad advertisement for Fender!!!

Dead dull pickups ruin the vibe
I thought we had gotten to the point that $1Kish guitars had good pickups and electronics that didn't need immediate replacement, but this guitar sounds dull, muddy, lifeless and just plain bad. My other Strat ('96 AM STD) now has 57/62s which sound great so I will be upgrading this one with similar pure vintage 57s.The rest of the guitar seems pretty good so far but it sounds so bad I've only played it a little. The seafoam green and tinted neck look great. Neck feels good. Can't wait to upgraded it so it can sound like it should.

Just get a player series
The player series is very similar and wonât be at that price. You can always find a good sale on them.

7.25 radius for neck
Sounds very chimney and the neck feels great, one of my better guitars in a 6 guitar, tele and strat collection.
