I bought this fountain to provide a water feature as part of my outdoor solar fairy garden done in containers or, as my husband calls it, a glorified pet water dish. I put this fountain in a large galvanized tub full of seashells. Just as stated, it needs full sun to continuously work. You can tell the amount of sunlight it is getting by how high the water shoots. At night, it works steady for about 6 hours once the LEDs come on after being in full sun for 8+ hours. This fountain isn't meant to move large volumes of water; however, for my purposes, it is perfect.

Very cute and nice little “fountain” but it floated around in my birdbath & the water shooting up kept falling outside of the birdbath & emptied it. Maybe I need to figure out how to keep it stationary.
