Syntace Disc Shims Bag of 8

Used these on my framed minnesota fat bike. Could never get brakes to work quite right, rotor was always too close to the inner pad. Now with three shims i was able to set it perfectly. I might throw one on the rear to get it perfect as well. Great value, much better than my original idea of getting spacer washers for the caliper bolts.

I have an extra set of wheels for my mountain bike that are mounted with commuter tires for road riding. The disc brake rotor position was different enough between the wheel sets that the calipers required a re-position when changing wheels. Re-aligning the caliper is not difficult but still takes a few minutes and I was concerned that eventually the screw threads on the bike frame would stretch or strip.By using these shims on one set of wheels I am now able to swap from one to the other at a moments notice and all that is required is a squeeze of the brake lever to align the pads.

I switch between two wheelsets depending on what terrain I'm riding. I was constantly having to adjust the brake alignment with each switch. This product solved the problem. No more adjusting, just quick switch and I'm riding. These only work with the 6 bolt design. Look elsewhere for centerlock.

I used these because I could not get my brakes aligned properly on my new wheels because I could not adjust it far enough. These shims put the rotor in the center of the adjustment points and now I have no more rotor rub. They are also great if you use more than one set of wheels on a bike (I do). I now have the rotors shimmed properly so they are exactly the same on both sets of wheels where I don't have to adjust the calipers when swapping wheels anymore.

I'm making a second set of wheels for my bike so I'll have a narrow road set and a knobby mountain set. These shims are needed to match up the disc brake rotors perfectly from wheel set to wheel set so you don't need to adjust your cables when switching. Cuts down a 15 or 20 min job to about 2 minutes.

Was able to add spacers as required to get the correct distance between rotor and pad. Wheels fits frame nicely.

I modified a standard fork on a 10 year beach cruiser and these spacers came in handy to make the brakes work properly. A little expensive, but if you need them then thank God they exist.
