Read in record time
I've spent the last few days contemplating how to review this book. I read it in record time. Partially because it was decent, mostly because it was fascinating in a train wreck kind of way. As a budding, also hiding, Republican, I don't necessarily completely disagree with Nicole's political views. Some are rather extreme, but that is her privilege. It concerns me that people really are as judgmental as she is, but she has always been that way, so it also isn't surprising. To be such a strong woman yet also believe that women are meant to be ornaments for men is confusing and also a little bit disappointing. Her #metoo statements are largely feelings that I have also felt to some extent, but then to profess the innocence of Bill Cosby is a bit extreme. However, I did not follow the trial or the deposition transcripts or the evidence or the closing arguments so I can admit that I am not well versed. I hope that for the validity of her opinion that she is. Though honestly, it matters not. As I have "known" Nicole for over a decade I had considered meeting up with her once again to catch up. I now know that that could NEVER happen. She would judge me in an instant, before I even opened my mouth, despite my welcoming smile towards her. I am skinny not, I exercise not, I practise yoga not, I eat like a lady not, I am my best self every day not, I drink alcohol not. I eat like chicken (fried not) like it is a hillbilly hoedown, I am a size 14, I am not prim or proper. I do not agree that she is cured of her ED. Rather, she has accepted it and decided not to fight it. She sticks to her regimen and to an extent it is understandable-she knows what will happen if she goes off track. She has been slammed before for referring to herself as cured and discussing it as a way to help others. She was clearly not at all cured, as she has admitted, and she isn't now either. But that also matters not. This is the same Nicole that threw a fit in a grocery store when she learned that the coffee she had been purchasing had the potential of containing one calorie. This is the same Nicole that outrageously ranted about the woman ahead of her in line that ordered whipped cream on her coffee drink because she was a larger woman. This is the same Nicole that wrote an entire post about women allowing themselves to be whales. Those are difficult to forget while reading her book. Nicole is terribly conceited, more than once asserting herself as wiser than all of her teachers (she's smart, she can write, but neither are out of this world), but yet again, that isn't surprising and matters not. What I find ironic is that I have managed to become more of the housewife that she wanted so badly to be. The older, preferred profession husband that works hard and affords his family a more than comfortable life. As it turns out it isn't necessary to be any of the things that Nicole focused on so much in order to have that life. But I can assure you that none of this because she stopped reading this when I mentioned what size I am, as it likely thoroughly disgusted her and rendered me as nobody worthwhile to consider. Now that I am done with the book I will toss it in to the fireplace for this upcoming season. I'm afraid to donate it to Goodwill and have it negatively influence some poor bystander that thinks it would be a good read. Although it would be worth the giggle to know that her book is sitting in Goodwill with a sale price of $0.50.

Absolutely Entertaining!
The writer has a great passion for winning and success, just like our current President of the United States! Reading about her opinions is funny, entertaining, and quite frankly makes me want to be such a Trump lover as well! Her depiction of the lower points in her life, and how she overcame them, is empowering. As someone else who has suffered from disordered eating, most specifically anorexia and then subsequently binge eating, her stories resonate within myself. This is a great read for anyone - but especially if you are a winner!

She’s not racist because she likes Bill Cosby
Apparently she isn’t racist because she likes Bill Cosby, according to her twitter. So she has a tolerance for rapists I guess.

Lyrical genius
To the haters out there that are posting absurd comments- After reading - I think its Safe to assume the author only gets motivated by the haters.. I must say for someone that does not read a lot of books- I cannot put this down!! I find Nicole‘s writing style to flow like a stream. She leaves me wanting more and I am very impressed with her knowledge on many topics. I also now try to mimic the authors placement of the word not in my everyday vernacular.Thank you for sharing your passion. Your story - your personal Nicole Marie Story! Just wait till I’m all the way done!!! Can’t wait to read page 202 - but have gotten there not!!!I did it!!5 stars

Exhausted
Kudos to the reviewers who managed to get through the entire book. I couldn't even get through the free preview. The writing style is just so... bizarre. It is unnecessarily convoluted & full of cringe-worthy, feigned sophistication. I had to read sentences over and over again to try to make sense of them. It left me completely exhausted. I have struggled to come up with a description of the author's writing style. I've narrowed it down to either an insecure teenager desperately trying to impress her teacher or someone for whom English is a second language. From the description, it would seem that Ms. Story has a lot of opinions on a variety of topics. I would offer that no one will hear what she has to say if they are bogged down in poor sentence structure and appalling grammar. I would suggest a creative writing course, and more importantly, an editor before she makes a second attempt.

Read with an open mind! You might surprise yourself!
This vacation I was able to read this book.NEWS FLASH: You do NOT have to LOVE Donald Trump nor HATE him to love this book! Nor do you need to have an eating disorder!(Although I have sinking suspicion that anyone who has left negative reviews about this book is not a fan of the Donald.)There is something in this book for literally everyone (although yogis, dog lovers and Sex and the City fans might especially enjoy it!Nicole takes us on a journey through her struggles with her eating disorder and just life and its ups and downs in general. She focuses heavily on her relationships, the successes as well as the failed ones, and especially focuses in on her incredible bond with her beautiful dog Gwendolyn. This is the type of book that if someone is next to you, you read out loud the best bits.Yes - some may think some of her views are extreme but that’s part of what makes this book a page turner. You are just waiting to see what she says next!If you were looking for a fun book that will make you both laugh and cry then I seriously recommend you pick this one up!

This is a brave author.
It takes guts to share one's deepest issues like this author does. I don't think I could do that. This is a compelling story and worth the time to read. I recommend it.

Highly Recommend
I highly recommend this book because of the honesty and insight Nicole shares with regard to her eating disorder and how it effected her life. Nicole is a gifted story teller. I rate the chapters that don't include Trump references at FIVE STARS.
