Capri Tools 14 mm Shallow Impact Socket, 3/8-Inch Drive, 6-Point, Metric

I lost this socket from my 3/8 in impact socket set, which almost ruined my life. Lose one piece from a master set and its game over. Might as well throw the whole thing away. Fortunately this is an exact replacement. I've had many close calls in life, but this one is near the top.

3/8 drive portion of the socket was too small to fit on my standard 3/8 craftsman ratchet or any of my extensions. This is the only socket I've ever had an issue with. Had to grind the inside slightly with a dremel in order to use it.

Over time and when the various tool trucks aren't around I order replacement items like this. I haven't had and failures from small impact sockets like these but then again I tend to use the right tool for the job and observe proper torque settings.

No issues. Put this through some serious torture on a high powered impact gun to try and get a frozen exhaust nut off. It was a good 6-point fit around the nut so didn't strip the edges. Ended up having to cut the thing off as it was too stuck, but at least this socket held up during the abuse!

Love my Matco ADV 3/8 impact socket set, but it only reaches to 22mm. I wanted to add 23mm and 24 mm so ended up getting these Capri deep and standard sockets since they look fairly similar. Capri deep sockets are a hair longer, but they’re good quality and nearly identical thickness as ADV. time will tell how they hold up, but very happy with this purchase.

this replaces my lost 12mm from one of my snap on sets. its chromoly steel and its great it wasn't worth my time and money buying another snap on socket

Needed it for one job and it did it. The finish is nice and I appreciate that the size is engraved and printed. Made in Taiwan.
