Great tiles for off ice stick handling and shooting practice
These are great tiles, I've had them for quite a while (over 5 years) and they are super durable. I've used real pucks on them almost exclusively, they work great, pretty smooth, esp for shooting. I'd say stick handling with a real puck on them isn't perfect but it's pretty close. If you use a weighted training ball, that works really well too. I tend to switch between a few real pucks and a weighted practice hockey ball and overall I'd say it's very helpful at tuning your stick handling.Update 11/17:It's interesting to read all these negative comments; I'm not sure (well I'm pretty sure...) if they are competing stores/products or what but I've ordered 18 boxes of tiles and covered half my basement. I've yet to receive a single box in poor conditional and have never seen a tile arrive broken. The feel is not 100% identical to ice - I don't know if that's a realistic expectation but I thought I'd address it here. I actually like that the tiles have a tad more resistance than real ice; this is in my workout space and I do stick handling, passing and shooting drills as part of my workout. I two extreme passers in both corners allowing me to pass the puck roughly 17ft and have it kick back to me. The puck easily travels to/from the corner kickers with a normal/strong pass.I'll also add that the new tiles are better than the old batch I got in 2015. At least visually, they are cleaner and smoother, however I'd say they were a bit more resistant than the original tiles I bought. My guess is they just need to be used for a while and get a bit worn in. The bulk of my old tiles are scuffed/worn looking (not bad just normal use) and the puck moves easier on them. This isn't really an issue at all, the new tiles are nearly identical, just mentioning this because they do get more 'slidy' over time.If you love hockey and want to improve your game, I honestly doubt anything else out there will help this much (outside of hitting more drop-in skates). I shoot 100 or so pucks a day, and spend 15-20m passing/stick-hanlding and taking one-timers... and yes it's as much fun as it sounds... can't recommend these enough, don't believe the negative reviews. I've been paying hockey since I was 6 and I just turned 50.

It might actually be the design that is bad. Either way - Don't buy
These tiles are poorly made. It might actually be the design that is bad. Either way - Don't buy. During installation we followed the directions precisely and the tiles did not snap in place well and they did not go together very well. The little plastic teeth broke off in many instances. From the beginning there were little gaps which over time worsened. Furthermore, there were tiles that did not snap in place flush with the other tiles so there were times it will grab your blade. We thought over time these issues would come together as I guess we figured the tiles just needed a little time to settle in place. The issues actually got worse over time.

maybe I got lucky. I purchased ten boxes back in august of 2016. all of my tiles are just fine. not the best surface to stick handle an ice puck on, but its great for shooting and roller pucks.

Tiles broke easily, the surface did not feel like ice. I was very disappointed by this purchase.

Expected the tiles to hold up better because they were costly
First there needs to be instructions how to snap the tiles together, found to be diffficult. The tiles do not stay together when you move them. Pieces from the part of tiles where you snap them together have broken off. Expected the tiles to hold up better because they were costly.

Easy to instal and fun to use
Got a box for my son for Christmas and he loves it. Very simple to instal. For all those saying the clips break when installing, you must be rushing it or not angling the tiles into place. As long as you make sure the clip is in it's place before tapping with a rubber mallet they assemble very easily and strongly. We will be getting more boxes of these to expand the shooting area.

These tiles are extremely poor quality. Many of the tiles arrived with broken tabs and it is almost impossible to assemble them properly without breaking them. Even if you are able to assemble the tiles, you cannot disassemble them without breaking the tabs. The whole point of this product is to be able to put the tiles together and take them apart. Don't waste your money. Invest in a quality shooting pad for better results.
