JOUNJIP Mechanical Keyless Combination Latch Door Lock - Double Sided Keypads for Gates, Fences, Windows - No Battery No Power Needed (Satin Chrome) - Not a Deadbolt

I had written a review on this item. Well in the meantime the item stopped working. I called and the item was replaced. As I previously stated - Great Customer Service!!!!I used this product for an outside chain-link garden gate, which I attached the GB2500 Keyless mechanical digital door lock gate box with a superalloy 1 soldering rod/flux kit. The gate box is aluminum and it was attached to the galvanized steel of the chain-link fence. It went perfectly. I watched the videos several times, programmed the code, and put it together. The only issue was the screws were not long enough, because I added wood pickets to the gate. That was an easy fix, went to my local Hardware store and bought 2 longer screws. The box it comes in has the phone number you can call/text for technical questions right on the front label. I also received an email asking if I had any problems with the product. I texted on the weekend requesting technical help, a few hours later Jonathan texted back with some solutions. You have to follow the directions and pay attention to the turning of the handle. The handle is small, but that works for me. I'm installing another gate at another part of the backyard and I will be using this product again.

The media could not be loaded. This double keypad latch lock works well and is very good looking! I like them a lot.Here are some good tips :
 ⁃ Have to press “C” keys every time before entering the code. ⁃ It auto locks EVERY time the door closes. ⁃ No option or button to keep the lock in the unlocked position. I would probably install a door holder or tape down the striker bar when necessary to keep the door open for a party or something. (This is not a deadbolt lock so the door closes automatically) ⁃ You have to unscrew the keypads from the door to change the code. ⁃ You can set 2 different codes for going in and going out if you want…or no code at all. (But even for without any code, if someone press random keys by accident the door will not open. You have to press “C” to clear any numbers to open.) ⁃ It fits in the existing standard door handle hole and even the deadbolt hole above it. For most cases, the weather strip gaskets(2.5”x6.5”H) will cover the holes perfectly. ⁃ If you install the two keypads uneven (if screws are not installed leveled) the spindle can get jammed stuck and hard to open. ⁃ The flat knob (spindle inside) will only turn one direction to open the door. It’s like a deadbolt turn knob except this lock is a latch lock. ⁃ The customer service is very good. If you mess up with the spindle (cut too short or something) just call them they will send you the a spindle for free. ⁃ Check out the video instruction.

I bought this to use for a metal security door. The door is the kind with bars and a screen, so I needed something where someone can't just cut the screen and turn the latch, this was the only good option I can find. It's very hard to turn and takes both hands. The latch does not move very freely so I usually have to put in the combo more than once.

Not worth it. Installed it on a side gate. Worked well for a few months, but now it doesn't work. Numbers are stuck and the know doesn't turn.

The knob could be a little bigger, its kind of annoying how small the diameter of the knob is. But it does the job. Installation can be a little tricky and because it is a manual device (no batteries) pushing the buttons take a bit more effort then if they were electronic pad buttons... I do like how the manufactuer includes 3 differnet sets of inner mechanisms to allow for intallation of various door widths. At the end of the day, this thing does what I needed it to do. I would buy it again.

I purchased this lock for the gated garbage area in my building to avoid the bottle collectors from destroying my garbage bags and throwing the garbage all over the floor. Then sanitation passes by and I would get tons of tickets. since I put this lock the garbage area is always clean and my cans are almost empty every week. Last week the latch was broken (I assume by one of the bottle collectors) I contacted this vendor to purchase a new latch and they sent me two brand new latch at no cost. I received them within a day of texting the vendor. What I like the most of this lock is the fact I don't have to worry about changing batteries or having to install an expensive electronic lock. This lock works just as well as those very expensive locks. highly recommend.

This mechanical lock is heavy and solidly built. I decided to install this on my glass paneled french doors that lead to my back yard. I recently had a break-in, where they broke one of the glass panels on the door, and reached in to unlock it. This lock will prevent that from happening again. I like that it has a combo on both sides, since putting a 2-sided keyed lock is a fire hazard, when you need the key on hand when trying to escape. I also like that you don't need to replace batteries, and that it's reasonably priced.I'm thinking of putting one on my passage door to the garage. I've unfortunately left my garage open overnight on a couple of occasions, and luckily didn't have anyone come into the house while sleeping. I found you can set either side of the lock to always open, so you'd only need to enter the code to come into the house.

The lock went together like a charm. Remember all the screws are metric. I wish I had some words of wisdom to install the lock, but I don't cause it was easy. I can't say anything bad about the lock. I have been using it for about a year with no problems. Just remember when you assemble the lock the lock will only open in one direction. Clockwise or counter-clockwise. That depends on how you put it together. The double sided is the way to go, just like a double sided deadbolt lock. And above all the push button operation beats reaching into your pocket for the right key. Also I need to mention this lock will fit over a standard size 2⅛ existing hole. Please don't forget to put some sort reminder on which way to turn the knob.
