We have two dogs. The Bichon is Who we bought the collar for. She is very stubborn and barks a lot. The collar worked for a few weeks and then she must’ve gotten used to it because then she just started barking again. We are now trying it on our much more mild mannered Yorky Poo/mini golden doodle. He is very lovable and social and only barks at big dogs that he thinks are scary. He is 17 pounds and looks like a Benji type of dog.I am sure it will work with him and will post another review after we try it for a few days. He is not nearly as stubborn as our bichon and takes instruction well. The Bichon Is very sassy and opinionated and thinks she is the boss of the house and of the other dog. She is adorable but we have to make her stop barking With some thing else. She’s also very smart and we are thinking of trying a citronella collar. They come with unscented spray as well as citronella spray so will try both.

I think the device itself is a little big for a small dog. I have a 5 lb. poodle and a 10 lb. poodle. The 10 lb. one, the size it OK, but I still would like it to be smaller. For the 5 lb. dog, it's very big on her. I had bought the Elegance Mini before, but it didn't seem to work at all on my 5 lb. dog (not sure her bark was a low enough pitch for it to work). The Mini was the PERFECT size for small dogs, but I was afraid to order it again since it didn't work great (and I had replaced one for a total of 3 minis). So on to this device. It also seems to be finicky as far as when it beeps. I am still trying all different levels, but even when my dogs shake their heads it will beep. That isn't good. So I've turned the sensitivity down to a lower level and then it doesn't beep when they bark. I've still not heard the 5 lb. dog's device beep yet other then when she shakes her head. I do LOVE the prongs as they are not prongs but more like wings? You have to look at all the pictures of the device to see what I'm talking about. I also love the fact that it vibrates and DOES NOT SHOCK. So to sum this review up, I've had 3 minis (love that size better) and then order this size. I wish the minis had worked more consistently.

I got this for an 8lb maltipoo that barked at anything and everything. And sometimes, even nothing. He would go into 10 minute non-stop barking fits and after 2 years of this, I knew I needed to try something. After failed training lessons, I decided to try this collar before using any sort of shock collar. At first, the beeps didn’t really phase him but the vibrations really caught him off guard, but not enough to stop him from barking. I decided to keep the collar on for at least a week and see if the consistency would help. I didn’t think this collar would help but after 2 weeks, he was like a new and improved dog! He continued to bark at things here and there as usual, but stopped his non-stop barking fits which was the main issue I wanted to address. After one or two barks, he would stop knowing that if he continued, the vibrations would come. This product didn’t stop the barking entirely (which isn’t what we wanted anyways), but definitely helped things become more manageable! I definitely recommend giving this a try. Only downside is that you need to charge it about every 1.5 weeks but overall I’m happy with this product.

I have two dogs and two collars. One dog wears her's sometimes because it has helped her from random barking. The other dog, this collar never gets triggered. She can bark and bark and never get buzzed or beeped. I have tried both collars on her with no luck. If you have a dog that has short barks, this may not work. This dog's barks are little bursts of loud and I guess that shortness of bark is just not enough to trigger it. It's so disappointing because she is insufferable at my mom's house and barks constantly and I just want it to stop!

I have a Shih Tzu. I bought this collar to replace a different collar because it got wet and quit working. I liked that this collar doesn’t have prongs. I always thought about how uncomfortable they must be. Well this collar worked until the recent hurricane. My daughter and her family stayed with me along with her Great Dane. All my Shih Tzu did was bark at him. This collar didn’t even phase him. He wouldn’t shut up. My daughter and I ended up keeping them in their separate kennels in separate rooms and took turns letting them out so they wouldn’t be cooped up all day.Another thing is, the collar won’t stay tight. It loosens up all the time so I had to sew it so it wouldn’t. Did the same with the last collar. Would much rather have a collar with holes and a buckle.

I have a 22 lb Shihpoo and a 9 lb Yorkiepoo…. This collar doesn’t phase either one of them. Coats are short, set to max setting and have tried various settings and fitting and stil, unphased …. So, I guess it just depends on your dog as to whether or not it will work for them. If it does it’s a great value. But in my case, it’s just money down the drain.

This did not work for us. The collar was at the correct tightness and settings. The vibration did not aid us in teaching our dog to not bark. She would simply bark through the vibrations and initial warning beeps. The design is great and the materials are good quality; this product just didn't work for us. Having color options for the collar was nice, too.Three stars because the quality is great and battery life is amazing. Would have given it full five had it been a successful journey. If you have a dog that barks for attention and you've exhausted everything else, you might want to try a collar like this. That's what we did. It really is a toss up. Dogs respond differently to training and this could go either way. 50/50Worth a try.

I have a 6 pound dog that barks for no good reason. This collar had no effect on his barking after the initial use. After he realized what the sound was he could care less. For a more sensitive dog this may work.

The product only beeps the first couple times and doesn’t deter my dog from barking at all. Even when it starts to vibrate. I tried all settings and it did not work. The vibration is weak.
