Broken Latch
I just completed a 600 mile trail ride using these bags. I liked their size, ease of access, and weather-tightness. I did however experience a near accident due to the product. I had the bags mounted on a rear rack. When I hit a bump in the trail one of the latches sheared off, and the bag swung into the wheel where it became lodged between the spokes and the frame. The pack wedged the wheel to an immediate stop. Had this occurred on a front wheel rack I probably would have gone over the handlebars. I finished the trip with the bag handle strapped to the rack because I needed the storage space. I'm not sure if this is a common occurrence, but in retrospect I wish that I had spent a little more for a more robust set of bags. UPDATE: Burley is sending a replacement clip. Since they are very responsive I have added a star to the review.

Waterproof and Durable
I purchased the Burley Pannier set because they went on sale on Amazon. I didn't think they would be very useful. After installing the 10mm rack (which also was on sale and a PITA to install) the bags installed with no issue. The panniers are made of what Burley calls 500D Tarpaulin Fabric. It feels like good quality. The bags have a roll top waterproof closure. They attach with spring loaded clips and have a swivel wing nut that loosely secures the bottom to the rack. There is a pocket on the side that easily fits a plus size Iphone and closes with a waterproof zip. When I saw pictures of the panniers in the ad they looked much larger than they are. Once installed they look much smaller. Burley says they hold 22 liters combined. I put my size 12 spd shoes in one bag and they took up most of the space. See pic. There are white reflective circles on the front and rear of the bags. I would recommend these as an add on accessory especially for us gadget freaks.

They are a little small but fit a lot of the items are not too bulky.
Kind of a pain to dismount. Other than that I love these bags. I use one as a diaper/snack bag for my little dude and the other for tubes, patch kit, co2’s, and personal snacks. Definitely has room for more after that. Glad I went with these.

Decent but expensive
They're rather expensive for a one pocket bag without velcro or zippers

Fragile design.
Ordered these to replace my old touring panniers. Had a clip break off within the first week of a months long your, sending my bag and all of my possessions flying into the road and into oncoming traffic.I had to buy a set of ortlieb panniers mid tour, and I'm never going back.

Waterproof but pretty fragile
I used both bags for 5 days of cyclotourism during my vacations (I bought them specifically for that use) and both had problems. The first one lost the bottom piece after 2 days that allows the bag to be linked to the bike. After 5 days the second bag's fixture broke(2nd photo) very easily as I tried to get the bag out of my bike.Ita a shame they are so fragile. The bags seemed pretty waterproof and pretty useful at first but I cammot use them anymore now. I feel a bit f***ed in this purchase and im trying to get reimbursed.

✅ panniers, ❌design bottom mount
Great panniers but poor design of bottom bracket to mount to burley pannier frame . Not adequate, so a custom fix for me is in the works and a update pic coming soon
