Bergamot (Citrus Bergamia Risso) likely originated from crossing bitter orange with acidic lime. Evidence suggests that this citrus landed in the South of Italy from the East between the 14th and 16th century. Grown in Sicily and Calabria, today Bergamot is widely used for essential oil and teas. Its tart and highly fragrant taste make it a pleasant and exquisite combination with creamy and soft cheese. One of our favorite marmalades! USDA Organic, non GMO, Vegan, Gluten Free
