Excellent book for young naturalists! And their grandparents!
This book is wonderful! Our five-year-old grandson is fascinated by the idea of bones and skeletons, and this book leads readers through the idea of what if we had NO bones (we'd be blobs!) to what it would be like with extra long finger bones, or giant neck vertebrae, or various other possibilities. The adults in the family have learned stuff, and our grandson has really been thinking about this stuff. What if you had a skull, ribs, and vertebrae, but no arm or legs bones??? You'd be a snake! I highly recommend this book. Great illustrations, too!

How are your bones like some animals'? Or NOT like them?
I thought about headlines such as "great introduction to comparative anatomy" but that sounded too serious for such a fun book. The writing encourages the readers' involvement in thinking about their own structure and that of animals in our vertebrate family, using questions to pull the readers to the next page. This book is a great way to bridge many children's (and adults') interest in animals generally with learning about biology. Highly recommended for homes, schools, and libraries.

Interactive and informational!
My six year old loves it! We read the Kindle version and it still came to life. Highly recommended for science minded kids.

Not scientific
I was hoping to teach my grandkids about real skeletons. This had “fanciful” amalgams of all break animals. Sent it back. Good service in that regard but I was unable to do the project while visiting.

no full skeletons photos or descriptions
I was expecting this book to show animal skeletons... it does not. My 5 year old was very disappointed. I'm returning it.

Bone by bone
This was a suggested gift for a 7 year old who is interested in skeletal remains he comes across. However, nothing has been commented on, and the book has not been mentioned. I did not see it as it was sent direct, and I think it might not have come up to expectation, hence the silence surrounding it. Forgot to enquire, but certainly hasn't brought about whoops of delight!

Very poor
I wanted this book for a six year old with a real interest in bones and nature but this book was too full of silly drawings with little actual fact.
