Both sides are lapidary-rough... This is very nice, gemmy material for cabbing. Takes a high polish! Hard quartz material as a matrix, and great southwestern coloration~ ~ Rough gemstone slab from Southern Arizona. A conglomeration of Malachite, Turquoise & Limonite. Measurements: 25 x 25 x 10 mm Weight: 13 grams ~100% Natural and Untreated~ This is a rather soft material here and there, and some spots are quartz-hard. I recommend careful cabbing of this material, or tumbling it for only a short while. It does produce beautiful cabochons in its natural state, but stabilization may be a good alternative as well, in order to preserve this excellent sky-blue color. Otherwise, one might expect that the finished product will oxidize with time, becoming greener as it absorbs environmental impurities in its aging process. Useful for your jewelry designs, mosaic, tumbling and artful projects. It can be worked to a polish with a Dremel, lapidary equipment, sanding or stabilizers. ~You will receive stone slab in photo, see coin in photo for a visual size reference. ~The brightest photos were taken when the stones were wet and shows the potential of color achieved when polished and worked... the rest were taken dry, and represent how the slab will look when you receive it....
