Cute Dolls: Let's Make Cute Stuff

I had this book when I was young and decided to try and sew myself. Turns out I’m not very good at it but it still turned out pretty cute! I think enlarging to the size like the book says to do is a good idea instead of being impatient like me and just free handing it. It might just be me I think sewing is hard and the patterns look easy but it was pretty hard.

Draw a shape on a piece of paper. Cut two of that shape out of fabric, sew the edges together, turn inside out, and stuff. That's basically this entire book. Don't waste your money unless you are the type of person who likes to copy project patterns exactly. This book IS good for that. But for people who like to learn from a pattern and then use it to create their own projects, give this one a miss. It does have a little stitch guide and some information about how to turn fabric and stuff that's probably useful for totally new sewers, but it's nothing you can't get off the internet. There are better project books out there.

I just love this book, is so cute and adorable. I like the fact that comes with very easy instructions, even for the people who have never done a doll before (like me). I like each of the dolls, and the cute comments that every doll makes around the book. Maybe the only thing not-so-easy but not to impossible to follow are the pattern. You have to make several copies, so you don't get lost (like me), but the step by step worth the work.

This book has some seriously cute little creatures to make. Enlarging the patterns on an office copier is a bit of a pain (lots of cut & paste)but worth the trouble. Next time I think I'll go to Kinko's and let them do it. Also, the kidnapper with his bag is bizarre - maybe in Japan that's considered funny? I don't think you'll be a bit disappointed with this book - buy it!

definitely recommend this book. the instructions are simple and fun. the projects are quick and SUPER CUTE! you can use different fabrics and alter the faces to make them each unique. :)

Book has adorable animals that will be loved by all and patterns can be enlarged (or reduced if you dare!) to whatever size you like. Awesome details also!!! I highly recommend it!!

I have really enjoyed looking this book over, and have chosen more than one pattern to try. the patterns and directions are clear and concise.

Fun patterns. Easy to follow directions.

The characters are interesting. We have made 3 so far (and we used felt rather than the suggested jersey fabric), unlikely we'll make all of the characters (not necessarily 'cute' to our taste). The patterns/finished characters in this one are larger (around 20cm) than in some other books I've bought, but like the ideas and character descriptions!

Very disappointing. I had high hopes for this book, but found the patterns to be very basic, and I cannot imagine that I will use any if them. I consider the designs to be very amateurish, something g a child would find easy to tackle.

Disappointed with this book as well.
