We've had a few tea kettles, this one is the best so far.
I'm very happy with this tea kettle. We've had other similar electric tea kettle but those have stopped working after a while. I think it's par for the course. There are three standout features that sets this tea kettle apart from the other two I've owned.1. It's insulated. We normally fill this up to capacity in the morning, then boil the water. After it's done boiling, we use the water for whatever we're using it for. We leave the left over water in the kettle then use it later in the day. Because it's insulated, the water will stay warmer much longer. So when it's time to reheat the water, it takes less time and less energy.2. You can preset a desired temperature. The other tea kettles I've owned in the past just have an on/off switch. When it's done boiling, then the tea kettle switches off. There are three temperature options for this tea kettle. Perfect for those who don't want to "burn" coffee beans. The tea kettle also has a built in digital thermometer.3. It has a removable lid. The other tea kettles I've own have flip top lids that open about 33% It makes it a pain to fill the kettle from the refrigerator water dispensor. Having a removable lid makes refilling a breeze. And because the kettle is insulated, the lid essentially seals. There is a little gasket around the inside rim of the kettle. I probably wouldn't trust it not to leak if flipped upside down, but it shouldn't spill out when walking around with it. The lid also has a little button/lever that allows the water to pour out. At first I didn't like this, but it makes the pour much precise. The flow is a little slower though. If there is one con, it's the slightly unintuitive operation of the tea kettle. There are two buttons to control the kettle. One is a power button and the other is temperature. When the kettle is already on its base, pressing the power button turns on the display. Pressing the power button again will start the heating. When you place the tea kettle on base, the display automatically turns on the base. Pressing the power button then starts the heating. You can press the temperature button to select the desired temperature. At this point, the power button sort of feels like an "enter" button, so I expected after selecting my desired temperature, pressing the power button starts the heating, but it actually just turns off the kettle (makes sense right? It's the power button). After selecting your temperature, you wait a beat or two, then it starts heating. You'll know it's in heating mode when the display flashes.

If it didn't sound like an old steam engine as it heated the water, it would get 5 stars!
I got this for my cubical, since Covid shut down the office coffee makers. I've used glass kettles for years at home, and knew that there is some sound, but was not expecting it sound like an old steam engine while it heated the water, especially since it's insulated. Now everyone around calls it the "Caffeination Express" every time I heat water now. But, other than the Noise, this is a great pot. Works fast, stays hot for hours, and looks nice; and it makes a huge difference in flavor being able to set a lower/higher temp to target if I'm making green teas, black & herbal teas, or coffee.

Perfect tea kettle for brewing fancy gaiwan teas
I recently got back into brewing tea in the gaiwan style, and didn't want to have to heat water using a thermometer. This tea kettle is very easy to use, displays the current temperature of the water as it heats (allowing me to take it off early if I want to hit a temperature between one of its fixed settings), heats quickly, and its insulation is surprisingly good. I wanted to make a nice 2020 Long Jin Dragon Well tea, which is best served at 185 degrees fahrenheit. I took the kettle off at 180, then set it back on the stand to watch its temperature coast upwards a bit (releasing heat from its internal heat element, which had been trying to get the water to 194) and settle right on 185. We were able to keep the kettle on the table to re-infuse the tea for an hour without any notable loss in water temperature.I didn't think I'd care about the insulating walls, but for this purpose they're really, really convenient.I boiled water in in twice (with vinegar added once) and the factory smell is entirely gone. This is a solid product.

Save some money and buy this kettle!!
I was a little reluctant to buy this kettle because there are more elaborate kettles out there. However this one was at the price point I wanted and featured temperature control. It’s super easy to use, made with high quality parts, quite, and hands down beats those $60 kettles. It even has a lockable lid with small lever to pour out hot water as needed. This is one of those gems you find by accident. If you are looking for a electric kettle buy this one.

Love it! Crazy good for price.
Bought this because our old kettle didn't have the temperature function and I was tired of measuring the water for green tea.Pros:Very nicely made.Temperature reading on handle is very accurate according and agrees with my calibrated Thermoworks classic.Holds heat much longer than a regular kettle.Crazy inexpensive for what you get.Cons:You have to open the lid to see the water level (presumably because it has a thermal carafe)A bit heavyWater pours slightly slower than I would like from the spout.I wouldn't count on the warranty - the website for registering the extended warranty is inoperative and the company's Facebook page doesn't respond to consumers - so I suspect customer service will be non-existent.

Way to heavy!
The unit alone is very heavy. Once you add water it's not the most easy to use.Obviously this depends on your strength level. The heat control is clear to use.I'll probably opt for spending more money, getting a temp customizable/lightweight water pot.

Nice looking, easy to use & excellent features
I use this daily. It has exceeded my expectations. It keeps the water warm without reheating for hours. The lid locks very well. Being able to select different temperatures is a nice feature since I enjoy the full range of teas (white, green, black) and also coffee. Only complaint so far is the errors in the instructions.

Used to heat water for sinus rinsing
Bought this to heat distilled water up for my sinus rinse solution. Never could get the temperature right in the microwave and room temperature water triggers facial nerve pain issues, so this kettle's ability to heat to 104 (for water to mix baby bottles which also would have been cooler when I was younger) is fantastic. I'm sure tea lovers will enjoy being able to tune the temperature to the tea type but this does have other uses.
