Replaced all the old catches on kitchen cabinets, (20 latches). Tip. Put two layers of painters tape over magnet, use adhesive for back of plate, once aligned, hold magnet part down, open cabinet and screw down magnet in place. Add the 2 screws to the plate, remove painters tape and everything works perfectly.

I used these to replace the broken plastic ones on the shutters. The Arizona sun kills the plastic ones. I hope these metal ones last longer. Although both the old ones and these metal ones claim 1.5" width to the mounting slots, there was a minor difference. I suspect a metric to English conversion was the culprit. This made using the existing mounting holes and screws difficult. But once installed, these 15 lbs size catches worked perfect to hold both the single and the double shutters in place.I needed over 80 catches to complete my project. But since the vender only allows 1 pack of 12 per order, the procurement processes has stretched the project out. That was fine with me, but my wife thought it was an excuse take weeks to repair a house full of shutters.UPDATE:It’s now January 2024 and I’m buying more so these catches must be doing something right. As expected, these metal catches held up very well in the desert sun. I’m replacing the last of the remaining plastic catches that have fallen apart. One word of caution, these catches come with terrible wood screws. Expect to buy better quality replacements. In my case, I reuse the original catch screws.

I used these to replace a number of 20 year old magnetic latches in the custom, flush door cabinets in our kitchen and dining room:- They're more compact (though the magnetic part fit the existing screw holes) and less obtrusive.- The stainless steel is attractive.- The adhesive strips are useful to hold the plates in place long enough to drill starter holes for the screws, much easier than trying to mark where they go; a time saving feature.- They hold the doors closed securly but aren't so strong as to make them difficult to open.- They included extra screws and adhesive strips which is a help.A minor complaint is that the plates placed on the magnets were backwards, i.e., the chamfer for the flat screw holes was on the wrong side. Easy enough to turn them around unless you forget in which case you need to remove the adhesive from the wrong side and from the cabinet door. Only happened once.

We adopted a couple cats, and they figured out how to open the kitchen cabinets so now nothing is safe. These Jiayi magnetic door catches were just what I needed and easy to install. Now you need to give the door a good pull to get it open. The cats now have more time to claw the couch.

After these are installed, they work fine. Getting them installed, correctly can be a bit of a challenge.Although there is a slot for where the screws go, all it needs is a hole.I put the screws all the way to the back of the slot, because every time you open that door, the magnet wants to go with the metal plate/door.The screws work great for the plates, tapered holes, tapered screws, works great.The magnets are not tapered, and will slide on the screws.Because my cabinet doors have little rubber stoppers on them, I had to make sure the magnet was slightly past the edge of the frame. A few time I missed the mark. I then found that it was easier to shim the plates, than to try to get the magnets perfect.They work, but this could have been better with the right screws for the magnets, or just single holes (not slots) on the magnets.

Here are the problems there is no adhesive on the magnet to show you where to install the magnet that is suposto be separated by the main magnet and in order to get this to work half way decent it has to match up almost perfectly for you to get any kind of hold from the magnet. The main problem for me was the fact that even with proper placement the magnets are not strong, not even joking. I wasn't expecting an excellent hold for the money but seriously they can't even withstand less than the raited hold listed. If anything falls over the door will come wide open. This would only be ideal for cats. The most frustrating part (cherry on top) was when people commented on the screws because it is far worse than I thought. They start to strip out as soon as you put them in even without a drill which I did not use. Then one broke off with little tension on the screw driver and now I have a hole in my finger that needed stitches just trying to get it out of the wood none the less they will not last if you get them in because over time the magnets with brake them off with ease leaving screwes impossible to get out without a screw extractor on hand and this was used on fake wood not even a sturdy wood. Seriously pass because they may seem like a good deal but by the time you buy real screws that cost more than this product the magnets are not strong enough to do the intended job.

Items as described. Strong magnets in "metal" support holders. I was always tired of the old plastic ones that had broken over time. Easy replacements for originals, screws included.

I tried to get a cabinet magnet from BQ yesterday but they didn’t stock them. They said that I had to order.So rather than spending more petrol i ordered through Amazon. The magnets arrived this afternoon and I’ve fitted them.They’re very strong and I’m delighted with them.

Did the job really well cupboard door shuts and opens nicely, fitting is easy. Screws and fittings all supplied (going into 18mm wood perfect) handy sticky strips which hold them in place and make it easy to fit. I bought some clear tiny stoppers ( look like half lentils to stop the door banging when shutting. Looks perfect good quality.
