Digs well poor quality.
I liked that the auger did a great job at digging holes but it did not last long before breaking. I purchased this auger last fall and didn't start using it until later winter early spring of this year. I completed digging about 60 fence post holes and the mount that attaches the gear box to the boom broke along with the pto shaft. I finished digging the last hole with a hand auger and found nothing that would have put it in a bind that would cause this to break. Besides the sheer bolt would have broke if the auger itself was under stress.
