These Good Sense pumpkin seeds are aptly named. Great taste and super nutrition!
I write a blog on diet, exercise and living past 100 so I care a lot about the nutritional value of the things I eat and snack on.Here are some of the benefits of pumpkin seeds: Great source of magnesium, improve bladder function, lower cholesterol, natural anti-depressant, prevent osteoporosis and promote prostate health. Okay, that's why you should eat them. Now, what is so good about Good Sense ones? I snack on pumpkin seeds every day. I have tried numerous brands here on Amazon as well as elsewhere. The seeds from Good Sense are some of the best I have had. They come well-salted, but not so much that your tongue and lips freeze up. Also, seem to be a very good size. I haven't run across any bad ones or overly heated. I also like that they come in little 4.5 ounce bags. I think they stay fresh longer. Just fyi, besides the excellent food value, they are not bad calorie-wise either. About one-third cup (an ounce) comes to only 120 calories. So it is not burdensome on your diet. Additionally, that ounce of seeds also contains 7 grams of protein, 5 grams of fiber and no sugar. In my book that makes for a super healthy snack.

BEST Pumpkin Seeds I Have Ever Had
These are the BEST pumpkin seeds I have ever had. I started buying them at the grocery store, and then they went away. I started asking the grocery store to order them, and they would, but the stock was so sporadic. I got tired of having to beg the grocery store for them, so I decided to look on-line for them, and there they were at Amazon. I was so relieved that I could still get them. So, I started ordering them from Amazon. : ) What I like about them is that they are lightly salted and they are crispy, but not the kind of crispy where the whole shell falls apart. They open easily and taste toasted. I love knowing that I can just order them again, any time I want.

Good Roast, Good Size, A TAD too Salty
My wife and I have made the switch, or in the process of switching to organic foods and one of the things we're supposed to be eating more of are pumpkin seeds (for the protein content). Well, organic, these are not, but I was looking for a source for convenience (Amazon Prime, 2-day deliver), cheap prices, and overall good products.We started with the offerings of the local Sprouts stores. Their pumpkin seeds are HUGE, even in comparison to these Good-Sense pumpkin seeds. I didn't think the Sprouts seeds were roasted enough, but they were good... and organic. When the Sprouts package ran out, we resorted to a package from a local Vietnamese snack shop in Santa Ana (we were traveling). Desperate... maybe, but I was there so I just got what they had. These were SUPER small and very difficult to eat. They were ALL salt and culls. Long story short, we probably ate about 20 seeds and threw the rest away.Then I ordered these, while on the same trip, so they would be waiting for us when we got back. I was a bit disappointed when I noticed the word 'organic' was not printed anywhere on the label, except "Try our other products - Organic Trail Mix". Well, it's a 12-pack and we're still going through it.These have a NICE roast to them. Much nicer than the Sprouts pumpkin seeds. There are flats, but not too many. Particles? Yes, but again, not many and they seem to be pumpkin seed cull particles, not like rocks or anything. I will agree that they are a little on the salty side, but not too bad.I would recommend this product, however, I do wish they were organic and a little less salty.

Excellent Pumpkin Seeds in the Shell
I've tried other brands of pumpkin seeds, but these are better. They are larger, easier to shell, and don't taste burnt. The flavor is good.

Inconsistent Salt; Incredible -> Inedible
I have ordered cases of these four times after trying them at a local store. I liked them due to their low salt content. Two of the cases have been lightly salted and tasted so good I could not stop eating them once I started. Two of the cases have been so salty that they were uncomfortable to eat.

Too many culls, substandard processing, inconsistant moisture content.
Despite how many regions of the USA can grow pumpkins, the market for roasted in-shell pumpkin seeds is dominated by David (Conagra) due to their distribution abilities. Although David's seeds are too salty, they are a consistent product with good flavor, dense nut meats and well regulated moisture content. And yes,did I mention that they are too salty. So when I came upon the high praise given to these seeds, I bought a 12 pack. As noted, the price on these is significantly lower than Davids.However, I am disappointed with the product. The first issue I noticed was the lack of grading. Fallow seeds (flat seeds with no nut meat) and other irregular seeds are included in quantities which vary from pack to pack, but there are too many. Additionally the nutmeats are quite inconsistent in density and moisture content. Some nut meats have little density and just crumble during the shelling process. The shells are quite a bit thinner than the David brand, which causes them to collapse, rather than cleanly splitting, when pressured on the edges. This transfers a lot of the salty shell into your mouth. So although these have less salt on them, more salt is ingested in the process of eating them.You might be happy with these if you are looking for a cheaper product than the David brand, but I was looking for a superior product and these are not it.

The nutritional value has changed!
These are great tasting seeds but just beware that the nutritional value has changed. I bought these because they were a great low carb snack at 6 grams of carbs with 5 of that being fiber (1 net carb!). Now it is 15 grams of carbs per same serving size. Net carbs went from 1 to 10. Bummer for a keto diet but still taste great.
