Roast away.
Tried my first pig roast and deer leg in this works great and didn't have to worry if it was going to hold up. Definitely surprised me.

Huge for "The CHICKEN"!
The media could not be loaded. We ordered the VBENLEM 46'' Electric BBQ Rotisserie Grill Kit and it arrived quickly. It took us about 15 minutes to assemble even with our arthritic hands. Deciding to use it right away, we got "THE CHICKEN" out of the freezer. It was a huge chicken. This unit is so large it makes "THE CHICKEN" look like a Cornish game hen! Slow roasted chicken, apple-wood smoked over an open fire is amazing! So tender, so juicy! I was worried it would come out dry, but it did not, it was amazing. Very sturdy, this is a very large unit, just look at this thing! "THE CHICKEN" looks so tiny, and it was a huge chicken that would not fit in our normal rotisserie oven. I can't wait to use it again. It will easily hold a full brisket, lamb shoulder, leg of lamb, turkeys, or a couple ducks...which is what we plan. We don't know where to buy a whole pig or whole roasting lamb, but we will find out! One of my photos shows that instead of using a bolt to hold the turning spike in place, the husband switched it out for a pin for easier disassembly and cleaning (you know, arthritic hands.)With some adjustments he got it to fit into our firepit. We did not torque down the wing bolts to hold the skewers in place. Hubby was able to slide it away from the heat when needed.Cons:*It is too big for "THE CHICKEN", just look at those spikes! Those are huge! But it worked to test the unit.*No variable speed on the motor, but for the price it is great.*The cord is short. (but an extension worked great).Pros:*Everything!*The speed on the motor is just right.*Adjustable height for roasting*Simple to assemble, it even included the tools.*Hard to adjust the height while cooking.Yeppers, Hubs and I would recommend this unit.

Great, affordable rotisserie spit with terrible shipping
I used this to roast a 55 lb pig, and it worked great. We rented a charcoal grill, took off the legs, and were able to set this over the grill bed. I wouldn't use a larger animal than this--55 lbs took up the entire spit.It was very important to get the spine of the animal close to the spit. We drove two u-bolts through its back and bolted them tight, and also wired the neck to the spit with stainless steel wire. As it started cooking, I periodically retightened the bolts, since lost water and fat meant that the animal started flopping a little on the spit. After the first couple of hours, things were well-attached and the motor had no problems turning the spit.Only negative note was that shipping was terrible--no updates for almost 2 weeks, so we eventually ordered another spit (which showed up broken), and then this appeared on our doorstep two days before the hog roast. If you're going to order this, make sure you do it well in advance since they don't ship promptly.

Truly Awesome!!!!
The media could not be loaded. I put a 45 lbs lamb on it. It turned it easily. I probably wouldn't go with a animal larger than 60lbs. I put a cemet paver under each stand and made them level. Then put stands in place and staked down with supplied stakes. It's all stainless steel and cleaned up super easy. I watched alot of YouTube videos before using. Lots of free info out there. Oh and the lamb was delicious.

Does not fit 90 pound roasting pig
Ruined my memorial weekend roast. Bought this to take having to redneck and make something work and it would not fit the pig. I got a 83 pound as the discretion said 90, but it was in NO way long enough for the pig!

worked well
I agree with the other reviews that the motor will probably take a 55lb to 60lb pig tops. If you put anymore weight the motor will struggle. I actually built a brick oven for the roast and the pig came out fantastic after 5 hours. My pig weighed about 53lb. I actually added another longer support to hold the pig open and tied it with wire. All in all the system worked great and the guest were loving the pig.

Missing parts
This seem to be a great product. So far I gave it a 3 because as I tried to assemble it, the split rod is missing. Will contact seller for a replacement of this product. Hopefully they are helpful. Will resubmit a review based on their service.
