New strap linked. Recommend 1000%
1000% recomend this light. Just bought 2 more for other bikes as I ride with others often. I love this light as the medium and low settings are plenty bright and the ultra mode is insane and almost never needed. I swap this light between 4-5 different bikes almost nightly for at least 3yrs maybe longer now. I also had the strap break a few months in. I didn't like the design of the strap to begin with as it goes on everything from a tri bike to a mountain bike and literally everything in between. I replaced the strap with half of another mount found on Amazon for like $9 haven't had an issue yet and can mount swivel on any shape. The mount link is at the bottom. Split it into 2 halves and it is a perfect screw in fit for the Blackburn lights. Once you do this you can mount on anything you want you can change strap sizes etc. It was a game changer for me and this light. As far as overheating goes I've only run the light too hot if I'm in ultra mode mid summer and slow rolling like 10mph or if I leave it on while not riding. The only problem that's ever come from that is the light died faster( like in an hr) usually lasts longer than the stated times when riding at a normal clip. So change the strap and put your light back on your bikes for all the other reviewers. I recieved nothing from this review and have over 40,000 miles with one of these lights. So I definitely think it's the best on the market after trying literally everything else.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0761RX64G?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Super bright
I enjoy night riding and my favorite trail has miles of overgrowth so at night it’s like riding in a tunnel. I have one on my bars and one on my helmet but they’re bright enough so no need to use them both at the same time. Batteries last about an hour or so on high.

Bright enough, ok battery life, strap breaks due to fatigue
I use it for short 15 minute bike trips at night. I don't have to charge it too often. Its brightness is acceptable, at least for making me more visible at night. I put it on and take it off frequently. As expected, the strap eventually broke, but luckily not at the hole I use (at least not yet).

Love this thing!
I purchased this so I could get my rides started earlier in the mornings and I love it! This little light has definitely improved my experience on the bike. I have found that the battery life is as listed in the item description...I typically set it on 800 lumens to give me a couple of hours and then as the day breaks switch it over to a daytime strobing setting to increase my visibility throughout my whole ride. Compared to other lights I have looked at and handled this one is simple to use, lightweight and good looking. I like the robust aluminum housing and simplicity of the rubber strap (I haven't had any issues with the light slipping around). I am really glad I purchased this light and would recommend it!

The light is fine for the price but the rubber strap is cheap
For the money, it's a fine light-duty bike light. But the attaching strap is garbage. Cheap material had very little elasticity and broke the second time I tried to take it off to charge. The strap is connected to the light so you have to remove the whole thing to charge. Definitely a false savings here.

Good light, flawed design
The light is bright enough and the battery lasts for a decent 6-7 hours so long as you don't use the brightest, steady modes which I don't tend to.The strap has worked fine all these 11 months I've had it. Mounting and dismounting is easy so long as I first slip it onto the thinner, tapered end of the handlebar and my fingers aren't too cold.My main beef with the Dayblazer 1000 is the clear, rubbery button on top which displays approximately much battery remains and - critically important - allows you to cycle through its 5 modes and turn it off. I'm not sure if it melted slightly after being left in the summer sun too long or if I've put too much pressure with my thumb while attempting to operate the unit but about 3/4 of its shape appears as if it was cut around like a cut-out and renders it very difficult to use. I'll update this review with a pic later and try reaching out to Blackburn customer service to see what they say about this.

Mounting strap flaw
I’ve had this light for about 4 months and strap broke. Good: nice and bright lights the night, multiple choices settings with intuitive scroll through, easy off and on with setting memory. USB charge is convenient and money saving in batteries. Bad: the silicone/rubbery strap broke and this is the SECOND time this has happened to me. Used under light to moderate use with no undue tension - this a major design flaw and should be abandoned. At 4.5 OZ (1/3 pound) the light is heavy, seriously this thing is a hunk. If I wasn’t invested in hunting down a replacement strap I would consider a different light.

Desfasada

Illumination Good, Battery Mid, Attachments Bad.
The light itself is as advertised. On the lowest setting, light lasts maybe 3hrs. No need for highest setting. You could really do without this much illumination for most applications. The attachments / mounts packaged with this light are trash, though. The out-front mount crumbled when lightly leaned on. The rubber strap mount is also terrible. Both are annoying to replace.
