A Xmas gift for my son. He could not have been happier with anything else. He’s over the moon. I have not seen the knife since we don’t live in the same state but I trust his expertise.

(GUM-10) 5" blade is especially convenient for preparing for single meals
Global (GUM-10) UKON Nakiri with 14cm/5" Square Tipped Blade, Vegetable Knife: One of the last knives added to my Global collection, I've found that I reach for it far more often than the 7" (G-5) full size nakiri. It's better suited for the usually small amount of materials needed for single meals. The smaller blade is easier to control in my untrained hands.
