I am very happy with the product (it will last forever) and how ...
I had a previous hard plastic expansion joint in my driveway walkway that was shredded from the desert sun and wear and tear. After checking at Home Depot and Lowe's (particularly since the gap was just over 1.5") they had no idea what to use to replace the piece and I frankly didn't even know what to call it. After some research I found this expansion joint in the tan and ordered three feet.It took me 1 hour of hard work to remove the previous piece that was falling apart. It took me 20 minutes to trim the new piece and smack it in place with a mallet. I am very happy with the product (it will last forever) and how fast it shipped. I will refer anyone in the neighborhood with this issue to this product.

It Works Great!
12 years of freezing winters had destroyed the original expansion joint & opened the space where it once was to a dangerous heel eating crack. I ordered the sample pack to figure out what the right size was & then ordered da stuff. It went in easily with a little persuasion from my plastic hammer & several weeks latter looks & works great. If you are wondering why two reviews, I needed two different sizes, 1" & 1 5/8". Both are working great.Expect an update after this winter.

Buyer beware!!!
The price for this item is per foot which makes this grossly overpriced. Nowhere in their add do the state the length, only the width.

I Love It... And It's a Pain!
We bought a house with a curved sidewalk created 20 years ago with an aggregate surface. The accepted method at that time was to use 2 x 4 wood as the expansion joint. All these years later, the wood had completely rotted in some joints and was as tough as steel in others. NO ONE local seemed to want to help with this "small" job. I had assumed I would be cutting more wood to remedy this situation, until I found SlabGasket!I love the product and in theory: it's perfect. But there are things you need to know.It is sold by the foot... which is good... but it arrives in a coil and you will have to cut it. I wasn't home when it arrived and my wife could not move the box on her own. It's kinda heavy. In its coiled state, it does not like to be straightened. I left the material in the sun for two days and it still resisted my efforts to straighten it. (High marks for being tough... low marks for being easy to work with.) It's easy to cut with sharp blades... It's difficult to cut because it's difficult to hold it straight. Some customers will find this material too difficult to work with and perhaps too heavy to deal with at all, when it's all coiled up.I would recommend SlabGasket offer to provide pre-cut lengths they are willing to ship in straight packaging (tubes perhaps) even at an upcharge, which I would have paid.As I mentioned, my sidewalk is curved. So, the gap in my case was not even all the way across. (If the sidewalk had been poured correctly, the gap would have been even.) Obviously, this is NOT SlabGasket's fault, just a shout out to anyone else who's working with a curve to double check your gap all the way across. Actually, SlabGasket adapted fairly well to this situation.So... FIVE STARS for the concept and the quality of the product, but deducting stars because it is somewhat difficult to work due to wanting to coil while you're measuring / cutting the material... heavy to move for some people... and a deduction for the lack of options on shipping. I was in no hurry to receive the product, but was only allowed to select FedEx as a shipping method. (FedEx is terrible in our area and any alternative would have been preferred.)As a bonus, I got to refinish our front door because FedEx plopped the corner of the heavy package into our door and gouged the wood enough to warrant a re-paint!

An Effective Solution
We bought the almond color slab gasket to replace the aging 2x4's that were the spacers in the patio around our swimming pool. They fit just great and were not difficult to use at all. We did have to trim off one end a little bit to get it to fit snug right up against the side of the pool, but a box knife did the trick. A couple of them didn't fit down as low as the others, but after the sun was on them for a little while they were more flexible and slid right in. We highly recommend them! They produced a good, tight fit in the expansion joints.
