USBasp ISP AVR 10 Pin Programmer w/Cable

Pretty simplistic programmer, but does the job. A little light on software and descriptions online, make sure it does what you expect it to do (don't just expect that "hey, it's FOSS hw and sw, I'm sure it's all there"), but if it does it's a very cheap option for it. It did for me, so I have no complaints, but I was probably expecting that after the initial "Ok, so now with what I bought it for out of the way.." there was going to be slightly more options for other things.

I ordered a USBasp and got exactly that; exactly what it looked like as advertised, worked perfect first time, not a single complaint. Oh, and the 10 pin cable, though I had no use for it for I was flashing ESC's with KK flash tool and a self made dongle. If you're doing the same thing and have no clue what you're doing, just search on youtube "flashing esc" or something similar and do some google-ing. You'll get it. I did.

Every time I upload a new firmware avrdude prints a warning to upgrade the USBasp firmware. You will have to google your way out to actually get pin diagrams and connections to atmel chip configured properly. Most likely you will have to spend 3-5 hours doing research to get this working.

Outdated firmware, but it does its job and it is not as fragile as a lot of others I have seen. There are open jumper areas for slow-clock and self-program (I assume, this comes with absolutely no documentation.), but no jumpers come with it, so you have to solder yourself or do something that works. Worth the money if you just want to plug it in and program.

Worked as advertised. Would purchase from the seller again.
