Protects while remaining flexible, wears like iron!
Before discovering these, I wore deerskin or goatskin gloves, because cow leather gloves are relatively stiff and thick, and hurt my knuckles whenever I bent my fingers. But the deer/goatskin gloves are so tender, I couldn't use them for yard work and gardening or I would wear them out in two months. These bionic gloves have insets at the finger joints and other "bendy" places that allow me to grip something tightly without feeling pain from constricting material. When I first looked at them, I was worried that the insets wouldn't be thick enough to protect the knuckles on my fingers, but I have never had a moment of pain. The wrist velcro tightens enough to keep dirt particles out, even if you have a very small wrist. If the gloves get wet, I am able to continue working comfortably until the job is done - and I have NEVER been able to say that about another pair of gloves. As another person mentioned, once they dry, they are a tad stiff but loosen up almost immediately once you put them on again. (Try that with regular cow leather gloves, ha.)I agree with the reviewers who said these can be used for any task, whether it's yard work, handling wood, home repairs, etc. These are now the only gloves I use, regardless of what I'm doing. The reinforced fingertips are excellent since that's where I usually get the most wear on my gloves. I typically get about 2 years out of each pair, but could probably keep them a little longer. In fact, when I get a new pair, I don't throw the older ones away, I use them for dirty jobs until they truly have holes in them. After trying the regular bionic gloves, I also bought a pair of the long ones for rose gardening. I like them too, but would love it if the cuffs were even longer than they already are.

7 months of regular use
I have used these at least once a week for 4 hours each time I work in my yard and I'm still VERY satisfied!

soil gets in through seams
I work with thorny plants and along, very sharp saw. I need to protect my hands while being dexterous. Gloves well fine for that but the leather wears out fast, though.Main problem for me is that I need to protect my hands from dirt because of fungal infections. However, dirt is easily driven through the seams and end up under my fingernails. The seams line up right with the fingernails. I'm searching for ways to glue the leather shut or somehow block the seams to avoid getting my fingers soiled.

These gloves are amazing
I use gloves for everything from gardening, home improvement, moving rock, to woodworking and it's tough to find a pair in women's sizes that aren't some lightweight cotton flimsy thing for digging around in a flowerbed, or a polar opposite of big clumsy leather gloves that are only good for heavy lifting. These gloves offer incredible protection while still allowing great dexterity and the ability to pick up small items. They are sturdy and hold up to even the roughest work I do including moving big chunks of heavy and sharp basalt rock.I've gone through three pairs of these in three years, which is much better than any other glove I've owned. The fail point is always the tip of the index finger, probably due to grubbing around in gravel pulling weeds. The rest of the glove is just fine so I do still use older pairs and have yet to see any other failure points show up.Highly recommended!

Quality has gone from amazing to crap
I have been using these gloves for years. They are really comfortable and fit well…until this pair came. I always buy a medium, but just to be sure I measured my hand again before ordering. I was at the top end of a small and the low end of medium so I ordered the medium to make sure the fit would be comfortable. When they came I had to struggle to get the left one on. The index finger was so tight it hurt and t stitching on the inside of that glove was rough and scratched my hand. I wasn’t even able to get the right glove on and that is my smaller hand. The little finger was so small, it was impossible. These aren’t cheap gloves and as it is they don’t last as long as they should for the price, but they were so comfortable in the past I had no reservations ordering them. They are going back - thank you Amazon for your easy returns - and I won’t purchase these again.

Great glove but barely lasts a year.
I heard about bionic gloves from an orthopedic doctor who said some of his patients highly recommended them. So, my husband and I both started using these gloves and find them very comfortable to use. I especially find they help me do various gardening chores despite moderate arthritis pain. My husband uses his for various yard & household jobs. The problem is that by the end of season we are both duct taping the fingers where the stitching starts to come apart. For the cost of these gloves, they should last much longer than one season or one year. I have gloves far less expensive than these that take as much abuse and are not falling apart like these do. I recently purchased another pair for both my husband and myself but if they fall apart again, as much as I like them, I’ll be shopping for something that will be as comfortable and last longer. Will return to update this review later.

Bionic gloves
It took forever for me to get them. They came at least 5 days after they were supposed to. I wanted to use them and didn't get them in time. I was most distressed. This is probably my fifth or 6th pair and I love these gloves because they're almost indestructible, and washable without turning " hard" after they dry.
