Dog Recovery Suit Cat Abdominal Wound Protector Puppy Medical Surgical Clothes Post-operative Vest Pet After Surgery Wear Substitute E-collar & Cone (S, Grey)

I bought this jacket for my dog to cover her stitches after she had been spayed. It fit well, was of good quality, but most importantly completely covered the wound so she couldn’t get at it. You have to unfasten and roll up the back bit for walks and then unroll and refit when back in the house, but it was easy to do. My dog was a little scared of the sound of the Velcro fasteners when we were opening and closing them, but got used to it with reassurance. One the jacket was on she wore it happily and seemed completely comfortable. The fit is snug enough not to be droopy, but allowed air to the wound so it could continue to heal. The neck was stretchy enough to fit over her head without panicking her, but didn’t ship down over her shoulders once on. I would definitely recommend this product.

Excellent product, I have an 11kg Cavachon bought the large size which fits well, I cut a slit as recommended in the reinforced area so he can pass urine. It’s really soft and comfy. I bought this for planned surgery to have a small growth on one of his nipples removed, I anticipate it being ideal. UPDATED: he had his op this week, the suit is excellent and perfect for the job, however after a couple of days it began to get a bit baggy around his back legs as was slightly long on him, therefore would recommend if in doubt which size to get or dog is in between sizes the smaller is probably better, it is very stretchy comfortable suit.

Low quality for the price. Poorly designed - who would want 10+ buttons on a recovery suit. It’s very difficult to put on. The suit doesn’t even cover the spot after the neutering procedure. Sizing is way off. Not eligible for return either. Avoid this seller.

This is easy to put on, cos you do not need to stretch it to fit over his head like a jumper, as with other dog vests. Also easier cos it does up along the back. Sizing seems accurate – I went primarily by chest size and weight. The instructions for measuring back length are not very clear. Also the designated cut out for a male dog's willy is well positioned. So given that and the design around the bum end, it means that your dog can cheerfully wear this out and about and pee and poo without having to have it removed. All good.My only reservations are 1. that the material is pretty thin. At the mo this is not a problem, as otherwise it seems well made with good seams etc. 2. the neck opening is pretty generous and as a result he has managed to pop out of the vest overnight. As he is wearing it to stop him licking and biting at a surgical wound, this is a bit concerning. That said I only got this one cos he had got out of the MPS vest I had from the vet. Must be my dog!PS This is 7 days in to using this vest. A frustrating aspect of using this is the ease with which it comes off. I have realised that this is due to the nap of his hair. Being a smooth haired terrier, his hair lays close to his body and points backwards (towards his bum, of course). The result of this is that the stretchy knit fabric catches on his hair. It easily slides down his body, but cannot ride back up because of the lay of his hair which catches and holds it in place. The overall effect is that the vest slowly inches its way down his bod as he moves about. Even just sitting down seems to shift it down his back by an inch, and it does not ride back up. Eventually it is so low down he either gets his back legs inside and thus kicks it off or it eventually slides down over his shoulders and falls off. I guess that the vest works perfectly on wooly or longer haired pooches, but for a short smooth haired hound you may well have the same problem. This was also the problem with the MPS vest, which is also made of stretch knit fabric.The key to resolving the problem is to sew in a fixed length of non-stretch strap or collar onto the stretch fabric neck. This should be the same fit as the usual collar. It works because it stops the collar riding back over the shoulders. Job done.

Ordered the recovery suit as my dog was going in to get spayed and I knew she wouldn’t do a buster collar or the inflatable collars. Have to say the recovery suit is really good and well made and my dog was much happier wearing this as she could still go the toilet while wearing it and the ease to get in and out with having the popper buttons on top so nothing rubbing on the wound. Make sure you measure your dog against the measurements as I nearly ordered a medium with my dog being small and the measurements said she would be a large and the measurements were spot on. The material is stretchy and good quality and in this very cold weather a nice little extra layer to keep your dog warmI’d highly reccomend this item to anyone that needs a recovery suit for their dog

I measured my dog and bought the XXXL suit as recommended by the measurements Unfortunately it's not a great fit, he's a GSD X Malinois so very long in the body and slender. The jacket length was short on him and around the body it was very baggy. The suit can be quite tricky to get on especially as it has about 100 poppers. Why they didn't put a zip or velcro fastener or even a smaller amount of poppers on I don't know. When you have a very agile and active dog, the last thing you need is to be trying to do up all those! Although the instructions state there is an area to cut a hole in for male dogs to toilet, there is no reinforced area and would just be making a hole that could easily be ripped further by the dog! Therefore the suit has to be removed everytime the dog needs to go to the toilet, not ideal! Saying that it does stay in place when it is on and can't be removed by the dog so it does its job in that respect. Maybe if the design was different and it was a better fit we would be happier.

The post surgery suit fitted well and my dog was very comfortable and happy to wear it..It was shaped perfectly to allow for both her toilet needs , it was also easy to put on and take off to check on the dressing on her belly , she was also free to eat and drink unrestrictedI would highly recommend it , so much better than the cone of shame

Good quality material. Soft and with some elasticity. I purchased size medium for my girl who weighs between 11 and 12 lbs for use after her spaying surgery. It covers her incision entirely.I like how it is snug but not too tight on her. May have been able to go a size smaller, but with all her fluff, it would have been much tighter than I’d like. Her breed is American Eskimo Dog/Pomeranian mix, so she is extremely fluffy!I’ll have to check her armpits and crook of her tail as she wears this for the next two weeks. Arm, leg and tail holes have a cuff. The cuffs are stretchy and loose enough it shouldn’t cause issues, but always best to keep an eye on these areas when pets are clothed.Lots and lots of fasteners up the back on this little piece of clothing. No Velcro or zips.For my female dog the back hole is just large enough she can use the bathroom (both #1 and #2) outside of the fabric rather than through the material, which is a huge relief. I don’t think I would recommend this for diapered dogs. I’m not sure how well it would work for male dogs for long term wear.

Acheté en vue de la stérilisation de ma petite bichon maltais dans un mois ,produit correct,taille un tout petit peu trop grand (taille M)mais elle va encore grandir un peu ,donc oui ,satisfaite à l'essayage,la fermeture avec des pressions se trouve sur le dos,facile à enfiler, léger, extensible,lavage à 20°, sèche vite,j'en ai recommandé 2,pour le change,mixte car possibilité d'ouvrir sous le ventre grâce à une découpe prévue si c'est un mâle.je recommande 👍😀.
