Disney's The Lion King [4K Ultra-HD] [2019] [Blu-ray] [Region Free]

I'll review the 4k quality rather than the film. I'm not getting into the comparison to the original other than to say I think this is better.Visually this is stunning. It feels like you can step into the screen and touch the characters. The quality of animation in flawless and the UHD reporduction is incredible. For once it makes.greatbise of HDR and doesn't make the whole thing look false. The sunsets and and the use of sunlight is really brought out in a super realistic way, see for example the opening scene with the cranes splashing through the pool on takeoff, or the lights dancing on the foliage when the mouse is running about.The sound is equally splendid and gives a great sense of presence. The stampede scene through surround sound shakes the room and heightens the sense of being there.This is far and away the best looking and sounding UHD HDR bluray I have seen.If you don't want to spasm out the extra for this, I can also say the DVD is stunning too asnis the normal BluRay. But if you're looking at this review, you'll be after the 4K version, so go ahead and buy it. You decide for yourself if you like this version of the film, I do and think it is superior in every way to the original, bit opinions vary, in quite a hostile way of you read some reviews of this!

A great film and a must have on 4k

We decided to buy the 4K UHD version as we had not previously bought the original film on either DVD or Blue-ray. I was so pleased to watch this latest version in such great resolution and would recommend it to everyone.You can really see so much difference with the UHD version and sometimes it's worth it. :)It's such a great film and I now watch it regularly.

4K transfer on the lion king slightly improvement compared to 2k.

Visually stunning in most places, maybe distractingly so, the cartoon is still the version that should be cherished, did have a playback issue on 1st play for some reason,not sure if player or disc related. But worked fine next time.

Note: Do not attempt to reenact the "Circle of Life" at family gatherings.Personal Experience:Date Night: Put Lion King on for "ambience." Date assumed I was deep, connected to nature. Reality: Just wanted to impress with cool lions.Parents' Visit: Scar's villainy in 4K? Parents questioned my choice of entertainment. I blame Disney for my awkward explanations.Boss at Work: Attempted a Lion King-inspired speech at a meeting. Got more puzzled stares than Mufasa in stampede mode. Fired? Not yet, but it's a ticking clock.Bad Feature:It's not the movie; it's me. Can't stop reenacting scenes.
