Overall appear to be ok but the wire is just folded back along the insulation then crimped to the clamps. Not the secure connection that soldering would give. Over time the flexible insulation could pull out of the clamp especially if the wires get warm. Moisture could also cause corrosion between the wire and the clamp. When you are doing diagnostic work you don't want your test leads to become part of the problem. I opened up the crimps, soldered the wires to the clamps and recrimped them. This took about 1 hour for a set, =10 joints. Not really worth the effort since you can get similar sets that are already soldered for about $2 more.

These low-quality crimped leads will become intermittent and unreliable in a few years, depending on the amount of corrosion that gets into the clips. Beware, these clips must be soldered to the wires.. You can do the soldering job yourself on these but it's a huge pita. There are other brands out there who DO solder the wire to the clips.

I have purchased so many of these things from other companies before I found these. They are nothing like what you are used too, the alligators do not twist in your hand, which makes opening them a delight compared to the other styles. The wire is nice with a good insulation and the length and colors are perfect. These are the best ones I have ever had.

The spring force on the black wire alligator clip is about 3x the spring force on the red wire. Squeezing the clip inside the rubber boot is virtually impossible since it just spins. Squeezing the clip without the boot is just very difficult. The red clip, on the other hand, has a very weak spring and easily pulls off whatever is clipped too.Bottom line, these are junk.

There are some very similar looking jumpers where reviewers have complained about the clips being extremely tight to open. I saw no such comments on this product, so placed my order. The alligator clips work well. Open easily yet clamp firmly. I also like that the insulation is thick which keeps the jumper from tangling. These are more for the do-it-your-self fiddler, but a good option for the price.

Attempted to use the Alligator clip wires with my electric train under this years Christmas tree. The wire connecting the clips is of a VERY thin gauge and is thinner then a hair and not capable of handling a low voltage item like a toy train. If you look at the pictures, you can see that the wire melted and actually caught fire. Lucky I didn't burn my house down. Please avoid this product for your own safety.

Very cheap I didn’t even use them I’m just gonna save the clips and toss the wire it’s my own fault for going cheap. These fall apart very quick be careful removing them from the bag mine came apart and I checked and they all are loose. The wire is the type to crack when it’s cold it’s very stiff for only having a few strands of copper
