EBIKELING 36V 500W 700C Geared Front Or Rear Electric Bicycle Conversion Kit

Led version is cheapest geared hub I could find with rim. Controller is small, works well, everything plugged in fine, customer service is good. With 10s3p (lg 3.5ah) 10.5ah total battery it does 22-24 mph on flat 150lb rider, controller pulls 22 amps that it says it does. I used another controller I modded shunt to 16 amps to limit voltage sag. I would recommend a 4p battery minimum if you use high capacity medium discharge cells like me. Lg mj1 says 10amp but mine where sagging a lot at 7 amp/22 amp across 3. Also I'm using vruzend no weld kit so might be better if you wld. Good cheap kit. I have over 300milea no problems. Spokes are even still tight. I would have preferred a smaller caseed 250-350 watt motor but I couldn't find anything in a kit for this cheap. Update! Bad quality control, it had a little play that got worse after 500miles, and gears where loud so I took it apart and there was no spring washers installed just a shim on one side, and no grease on gears just a big glob on the side of clutch nowhere near The gears. When I asked if they had parts so I could buy shims I got no reply. I'm hoping that this comment and another message I sent will get a response, I just want to know what the make and model of motor is so I can just buy the from another company. Unfortunately I can't ride my bike now.

I like the setup very clean ..Works good in my 700c 20mph on flat , it works good climbing hills .Wires are easy to figure out with the website instructionsThe problem I have is the thread on the axle are weak it doesn’t say how much torque you need to apply in the nuts , doesn’t come with instructions and the website isn’t much help.Also the torque clamp isn’t very usable on the rear set up is not much room at the en of the axle ( is nice it come with it.It doesn’t come with spacers for the flywheel so be prepared to build one .But is cheap I think I’m asking to much maybe, it just should be nice to know all this before buying.Thanks

Good quality wheel and hub motor.LCD bike computer/ control unit didn’t work, opted for the simple LED unit. Seller was helpful in the exchange process.Bike looks and works great. Provides a lot of power. Range with a 10Ah battery is about 20 miles on slightly hilly terrain.As a footnote ; the kit doesn’t come with any documentation or manual, only the manufacturers website is given. You have to do your own research (YouTube etc) about installation, wire connections. Could be a bit more straightforward. All in all well worth it.

SO the controller didn't work it took me 2 weeks for us to figure out the problem Then the wheel broke my fork and almost killed me. They are intereted in solving your problems but not too quickly

To test this kit I put it on a $100 Wal-mart Kent commute bike. On Strava I averaged 21mph/33kmh over 44mi/70km on a 36v 20ah battery from Ebay. At around the 30mi mark I had to ease off using the battery so much and rely on fitness to save the bettery life, but color me impressed. I'm 34 years old and 190lbs/90kg

When going about 15-20 MPK and if I release pressure to the handle bars and coast the wheel will start to oscillate and if I don't grab the handle bars it will go into a violent oscillation. I have tried this on two sturdy bikes with carbon fiber forks. I have tried different tires and tubes and tire pressure but this wheel seems to do this no matter what. It prevents me from driving on human power or coasting down hills and removing my hand from the handle bars.

The kit was complete and enjoyable to install. All parts worked as advertised. I would like to have had a bicycle bag included to hold the controller and connectors. I would recommend this kit
