Liquid Copper Roofing Product
I built my shed cupola with a white rubber roof, a scrap left over from an RV roof repair. Needless to say, white doesn't stay white. I wanted a copper roof but it just wasn't practical -- until I found out about Andex Roofdx Copper. This is a great product. It goes on like a thick paint and looks like copper! Two coats took less than a quart so I think I'll paint the flashing as well.

WORSE PRODUCT OUT THERE FROM THIS COMPANY ANDEK CORPORATION.
RUINED MY HISTORICAL HOUSE WITH THIS PRODUCT AND COMPANY WILL NOT FIX IT, LOOKED GREAT FOR ABOUT 6 MONTHS NOW IT LOOKS AWFUL, THE COPPER IS TURING AFTER I WAS TOLD TO PUT A CLEARCOAT THAT WAS EXPENSIVE AS WELL FROM ANDEK CORPORATION, THEY REFUSE TO REFUND ME OR FIX THE ISSUE, I HAVE SPENT AROUND $10000 PLUS MY LABOR AND HAVE NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT.... SHAME ON THIS COMPANY FOR NOT STANDING BY THEIR PRODUCTS AND MAKING IT OUT TO BE GREAT. THEY TOLD ME IT WOULD LAST 25 YEARS WITH CLEARCOATING, WELL IT DID NOT EVEN MAKE IT A YEAR.....................

Amazing liquid copper waterproofer
I'm a roofing contractor. We work on a lot of historical houses. Have used this product and others from Andek for numerous projects over the past 20 years. Have nothing but positive things to say. ok, it's expensive. And some of their products are difficult to find in person. We buy quantity, not for crafts. The copper RoofDx is not only beautiful, it's extremely durable. We don't try to trick people into thinking it's new copper panels or flashing, but often they can't tell. it's a fantastic way to prolong the life of existing exterior metals at a much cheaper cost. It goes on like a thick paint and can be DIY. Our experience is mostly with roofing and related items - standing seam, flat lock tin, window wells, flashings, valleys, weather vanes, cupolas. It has real copper in it and will turn the series of russet browns before going green. It is a waterproofer as well as changing appearance. We use it with a polyester fabric when the substrate is in poor condition or we want additional longevity. My reason for writing this review is from seeing someone else saying the product failed in conjunction with clearcoat 44. We have also used this product. It is like a 'shellac' for copper and withstands heat, expansion, U.V, etc to keep the RoofDx or real copper from developing a patina. It works. Very well. Have it on gutters and flashings from 15 yrs ago that have not 'turned'. Still have the bright copper penny look. You need to follow the instructions with this and and the Roof DX, particularly on a broad scale exterior project. Can't speak for the results of others, but in my extensive experience, both are exceptional. Not aware of anything similar; haven't looked since I found these. I will say we have made some mistakes over the years, such as applying too heavy or with precipitation too soon - that will dull/pit the finish. Just adhere to the directions. doesn't have to be complicated. clean dry surface. Note on the clear coat 44: let the RoofDX cure before applying. And if using it on real copper sheet, clean off all oils that come on the metal. Wear gloves - otherwise fingerprints will be locked it for 20 yrs. You don't need to be a skilled coppersmith to utilize the benefits
