LEGO The Movie Emmet Construction Worker Minifigure Series (71004)

Excellent reminder of an excellent movie
He's perfect. I don't usually collect LEGO pieces, so I'm afraid I can't speak to his quality comparatively. He seems sturdy, like the ones I played with as a kid. If anyone is curious (I was), his face options are the open mouth smile that you see on the Amazon image, and an even bigger open mouth smile with his eyes closed (I have seen it described online as the "ecstatic" LEGO face - think how his character looked when he got excited about the $37 coffee).I was really pleased to find a version of Emmet with the instruction booklet. I have some obsessive tendencies, and one is that I really want instructions for even basic tasks. (I have googled "how to boil water" way more times than an adult should ever admit to.) In the scene when he is using an instruction book to get ready in the morning, my first thought was "that would be handy."So I got myself an Emmet figurine, both as a reminder that not following the instructions can have awesome outcomes (double-decker couch!), but also that sometimes following instructions isn't bad, and that wanting instructions doesn't mean you're not, well, special. It feels lame to say, but there it is.My only con for the item - since I started displaying Emmet this morning, I have had "Everything is Awesome" run through my head approximately nine times. But that could also be considered a pro.

The best kids' movie character since Woody.
I've been collecting LEGOs for the past twelve years. I have more sets than anyone I know, and an entire army of LEGO minfigs. I saw "The LEGO Movie" yesterday. I really thought it was going to be a preachy, "be yourself!!" mainstream kids' movie, but boy was I wrong. It's charming, funny, clever, and touching. You'll love it. So of course I had to run to Amazon and get Emmet, the star of the film. Emmet's dialogue, attitude, and off-the-wall ideas charmed me into buying him in plastic form. He's a must-have for any true LEGO fan! Long live the plastic interlocking bricks!! :D

It's LEGO, How Can You Go Wrong?
This was purchased for my nine-year-old son. We saw the movie, loved the movie, and this was the result-- our very own Emmet. I was really hoping he'd be a little more handy around the house. He's awfully cute, though, so I'll let his lack of skills slide. He's just like the Emmet in the movie, but less talkative. In short, everything is awesome!

my little boy is happy because he got 'emmet' back
should not be advertised as a Lego because the emmet is not a real lego piece..but the plate for him to stand included is.. none the less, my little boy is happy because he got 'emmet' back.

Perfect
Super fast shipping. Item exactly as described. My boys LOVE their new Emmet!!! We were lucky to attend the Lego workshop at Toys R Us where they both were able to build Emmet's car but it did not come with Emmet so you can imagine their joy when I surprised them with this little fellow :)
