Dual channel a must for AMD Ryzen + Vega graphics
So, I picked up a refurbished 14" HP 14-dk0022wm laptop with an AMD Ryzen 3 3200U APU, because it was just too good a deal to pass up. A lot of the Ryzen 3 budget laptops only come with 4GB RAM running in single channel mode (1-slot populated). It's enough to barely run windows in that configuration, and only 512MB is dedicated to the integrated Vega graphics - which is reasonable since you need at least 3.5GB RAM left just to run the OS and a couple apps.I bought a stick of OLOy DDR4 RAM 4GB (1x4GB) 2400 MHz CL17 1.2V to add to the laptop so I could run 8GB in dual-channel. With 8GB RAM installed, 2GB is system reserved for the graphics leaving 6GB for the OS - pretty much perfect for a system with only a multi-threaded dual core CPU. This upgrade in conjunction with being able to run in dual-channel mode resulted in a 34% - 60% increase in graphics performance depending on the benchmark or game. The OLOy RAM was a great price, actually felt like a quality PCB removing it from the packaging, and runs flawlessly even though it's 'mis-paired' with a faster 4GB stick. For anybody looking to upgrade a budget laptop comparable to mine, it is a fine choice. For anybody looking for a budget AMD based laptop, stay away from the Motile brand if you have need of graphics acceleration or plan on any modest gaming. The inability to run dual-channel RAM robs you of performance available in other systems priced similarly.

Perfect for an upgrade.
I used a 4gb stick of this memory to upgrade my partner's laptop to 8gb dual channel. works great on a HP 14dk2022wm laptop. Now she can run everything she needs to with out running out of memory. And the price is just fantastic for what you get!

Decent.
When I got this, it was over 10 dollars cheaper than the nearest comparable competitor's stick. It's been in use for about 4 months now, no problems. Installed like a regular SODIMM would. It feels nice to have 16 GB (in total, I already had an 8 gig)

Worked like a charm
What a great buy. Bought for a laptop that I paid $250 brand new that only includes 4gb ram and was a bit sluggish. What a difference. Laptop starts right up and there is no lag when opening programs. May get another just to make it an even 16gb.
