You just don't see or hear from many who embrace the old school mentality as much as Coach Letterman. Thank America's Founding Fathers and JC himself for a man such as Coach. With men like him, America could have won theVietnam War and nipped our losing streak in the bud. Or at least the regional 10 year old football league. I was able to read this book with ease because I spend 90 minutes a night studying my playbook when I was school aged. This chapter I have attached was the most moving and shocking read of my lifetime.

Perfect guidance for coaching youth sports. Coach clearly has his priorities in line. If I had to point out a weakness I think coach could have hit on the importance of a medical staff to provide all necessary cortisone shots.

There has never been a better American author in the history of the world, and I know this because America is the oldest and greatest country on Earth. I read Don Quixote and he never won an SEC championship, never lettered in anything and probably paid interest on his waterbed. I read The Great Gatsby and I thought the title is misleading. Gatsby did not have a fountain view unit in his condo and did not have laser printing privileges in the computer lab. Plus, I did not learn anything from either of those books. In Determined Look, I learned how to be a damn winner and get rid of people around me who don't know how to win. The sections on how to be a great basketball referee and how to be a great little league umpire were, sorry, I'm tearing up as I write this, in a word, life changing. I model my own officiating after what I learned in this book. I also learned the value of education and how it really doesn't matter during football season. The only education that matters is reading the team playbook for at least 90 minutes per night, avoiding all siblings and ensuring all pets have been properly donated to the local animal shelter. Can't take those kinds of risks when there are championships on the line. As proof of my new enlightened state, I'm including a recent photo where I'm helping some of the local 7th graders who weren't properly blocking, and to the coaches who weren't running the right plays.I wish I could meet Coach Letterman and shake his hand, but I also fear he'd break my hand, due to all those championship rings on his fingers, including the one for the sectional championship (three way tie).

Best Damn Book Written by the Greatest Youth Football coach that every Lived!! Book offered great insight into why Coach does not have to wait on line when he goes to Beef "O" Brady. Immediate VIP seating and cheers from the losers who are on the 2 hour line waiting for a table.Who knew Coach was a economics wizard who brought his Waterbed and 70" big screen cash?Who knew coach drives a 2011 Fully Loaded Ford Taurus as his company car?Book is also very educational-who knew about President Benjamin Franklin and America's Greatest Living President (and the inventor of the Automobile) Gerald R Ford?A page turner, that I could not put down (should have washed my hands after the Cotton Candy). I would write more, but I do not want to give away more of this intriguing plot and I also have to get to the weight room. Remember what this legendary coach said about the weight rooms" a hour in the weight room is more important then a lifetime in the library" Legendary!!!

When one hears the word "philosophical masterpiece" one usually thinks of things like Marcus Aurelius' "Meditations" or the works of John Locke. What this book will teach you is that those authors do not have any SEC championships, nor a timeshare in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Therefore, their opinions can be safely disregarded. When it comes to finding a guide to winning in all aspects of life - whether that is obtaining a company gas card, or stealing the show at youth basketball tournaments - this is the final word.While I would not recommend this book to anyone from European nations like France or Canada, for those of you out there who bleed red, white, and blue, this book - nay, this holy text - is the way, the truth, and the life.
