Lovely fun instrument
I absolutely love my kalimba!! So calming and very easy to learn, I got mine last week and have already learnt 5 songs (I have absolutely no music talent on any other instruments). It sounds lovely. It may come untuned but this is very easy to fix with the hammer and a tuning app. The only issue is that the upper tine (E6) is "dead", meaning it does not resonate like the rest of the tones but I understand this is very common with kalimbas. I sort of fixed mine by bending the tine up and down a little, it seems to have loosened it so the tine can vibrate better against whatever the thing it vibrates against is called. My dad loved mine so much that I bought him one the day after mine arrived! Great relaxing fun.

Attractive, easy to use musical instrument.
The kalimba came already tuned. I like the sound it makes, very pretty, a bit like wind chimes but much less annoying! Would make a great first musical instrument for a child as it is easy to make pleasing sounds immediately. The instruction booklet is of little use and is translated very poorly into English. It is best to look up how to tune your kalimba on internet as the booklet isn't very clear. I haven't had to use the tuning hammer yet, it has kept tune very well after lots of use. There are some great videos for beginners if you search the internet. I'm delighted with my kalimba. It was delivered promptly and in excellent condition with all the accessories.

Probably worth it but do your research first.
The product arrived with a tuning hammer, an instruction booklet, rubber thumb thimble-type things and a bag.The Kalimba is very light and the keys are small, so this definitely suits a smaller hand more than my sausage fingers. It came tuned so it was playable out of the box.The instruction booklet is well-illustrated although there's some confusing English translation on some pages. The bag feels cheap and thin and scratchy. It feels almost useless except for keeping dust off when the Kalimba is not in use.Overall, it's a great price for what you get. But I'd definitely recommend trying a Kalimba or watching someone use a 21 key one on YouTube before buying. That way, you'll know for sure that you will use this.

Lots of fun
For the price, this litte instrument is great!I get lots of enjoyment out of it. It was tuned on arrival. The little booklet that comes with it has some errors in translation, but it is readable. The thumb guards don't fit my thumbs, but it's not much of an issue. The kalimba sounds great, even if one does not know how to play. Definitely worth the money!

It's a must
This was a gift for a friends 10 year old granddaughter, she called to her nannys house for a visit, saw the 17 key kalimba, "what's that", so she was shown the basics, within a couple of minutes she was following and playing silent night, so had to have one, when I handed it to her she was thrilled to bits and has'nt put it down, simple to learn, and the tones are very soothing.

Great hit
Bought as a present for a 5 year old. Apparently a big hit. I've ordered and received 4 more. Value for money as you can purchase similar ones for quite a bit more money.

Upper tines usually dead...! Confirm returns policy before buying!
It has a decent range compared to the more widely available 17 key kalimbas (for obvious reasons...!), and a lovely warm tone. But a common issue with budget kalimbas, and one present in all three I tried, is that the upper tines are often dead. This is an issue of manufacture that effectively removes two notes and makes buying budget kalimbas a bit of a roulette. This was the case with this item, and my E4 was also dull no matter how many times I tried to tune or fix it. I decided this wasn’t something I could bear with and returned the item.

Beautiful make & sound - Exceeded expectations
After seeing and trying several versions of these over the summer festival period, I decided to purchase this for my 13yo musical son as it looked to be of reasonable quality, the price was better than others that we had seen in person, and there were a greater number of keys on this Kalimba. It arrived very quickly and was a real bonus buy and exceeded all of my expectations. The sound it made was far clearer and sweeter than those that we had seen in person, it was already well tuned, my son was up and running on it within minutes, it also appears to be beautifully made. It works perfectly as an instrument, but if my son does ever get bored of it, it would also make a lovely ornament I suppose! It also comes with a tuning hammer, stickers and thumb covers if you need them, as well as a storage bag. Am really pleased with this purchase.

Nette und günstige Kalimba mit 17 Klangzungen
Bestellt am 3. Juli 2020 EUR 24,69Eine gut klingende Kalimba ohne viel Geschnörksel drumherum.
