I followed the directions precisely and the product did not work as expected.I used half a bag of seed, half the bottle of liquid, turned the device to off, and hooked it up to the hose. When I turned on the water, no water went into the container. I actually had to turn it to on. To make sure the green liquid and seed mixed with the water, I covered the nozzle so the contents would not escape and then turned to off. There was no mixture. The seeds were ejected from the container in less than a few seconds in a small area, maybe a few square feet. There was no green spread. I didn't even see a green tint to the water.DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. You will be disappointed.

First - shipping was a beast! I ordered this on a Monday evening....like at 5pm? It arrived at 8am the next morning! Go Amazon!Ok, now for the product itself. Its a more economical version of the HydroMousse. Its the EXACT same thing. Half the price. So take that for what its worth.Now that being said....it works. If you use it as directed it works. Read the directions. Do it EXACTLY like it says or you will just shoot your seed our in one big wad...so to speak. If you shake it properly and spray from side to side as directed it definitely sprays great. This allows it to hold properly. If you get a downpour? Hay will even wash away so don't expect magic but if you have something that rolls off of a hill during a regular rain? This does hold much better. As far as the seed and fertilizer mixture? Its a fast germinating seed....won't last for years but will come up quickly. The great thing about this is you can use your own seed and some liquid fertilizer after you use the supply included. Its a total win-win if you just take the time on the upfront to read the directions and use it properly.And please don't use this thing to water your seeds. Every day after you put this down you will need to water your seeds but use something lighter that won't beat the seeds up. This should be common sense but....sadly needs to be said. And yes, you need to water every day until the grass is a few inches high. If you are going through a drought? Common sense....water in the morning and at night to give the seeds the water they will need to succeed. It has a seed mixture that allows rye to come up first to establish and then perennials come up more slowly and should live awhile. But like I said, use your own seed and fertilizer....you are paying for the appliance here...and it works great and as advertised.

Initial application of the product let me know that the mixing instructions doesn't properly prepare the seeds to be mixed with the green solution well at all. I am buying it again to premix with some water and green solution-shake it up and then apply so that the application of the product resembles the "As Seen On TV" Commercials. I don't know yet if it even works.

while spraying the lawn, the seeds clogged the sprayer head. The green gel did dot spray green unless you shook the bottle upside down and upright again. After the trying the unit, I decided to hand sprinkle the rest of the seeds and use the green gel only in the sprayer. The water stil did not come out green. The results that I got from the seed was terrible. Very few seeds actually grew any grass. I would not reccomend this product to anyone and it is not the same as the one advertised on tv. The brand on tv is called Hydro mouse.It may work, but I decided to buy a large bag of seed and start over, no more gimmicks of a quick lawn for me.

Its grass seed folks. No green foam , no even spread. Had to to turn it up side down to get most of the seed out and that didnt even get it all. I had to take off the canister and pour the rest of the seed. The seed has been down almost a week. And starting to get little growth. We'll see. As far as the canister goes ... I will reuse it possibly to water with food... Miracle grow, plant food etc. Just go buy grass seed at the home improvement store... Disappointed needless to say. I was an idiot for not reading reviews first.

Little hard to mix half seed and half liquid that comes in kit. Just attached to garden hose and spray on bald area. Been 1 month since I used most of area is grass still some bald spots.

I raked the ground first ,lay out a layer of Pennington smart seed ,then used the grass shot over the Pennington Grass sees with the grass shot seeds and a layer of fresh dirt and in five days my grass was growing and covering very well. Will order more cause my mixture work well for me.

This is an absolute disgrace, the thing is defective. It does not spray green foam at all, I even tried doubling the amount of additive. Bottom line is that the mechanism does not work as described in the instructions - you are suppose to hook this is up to a hose with the valve in off position to fill the container with water, however, if you hook the thing up with out the container on it, turn the hose on and keep the valve in the off position, you can clearly see that it does not fill up. It is a disgrace that this is being sold.
