Bare Metal FoilCo 6x11 Thin Sheet Matte Aluminum Foil Adhesive Back

I saw a review by a fellow modeler on Reddit who raved about this stuff. It almost sounded too good to believe, especially when considering how some self-adhesive applications can be a challenge to use with so-so results. The guy wasn't lying in his review. The sheet is easy to cut and the applique is a sheet of real aluminum (similar to foil, but with a more delicate thickness - kind of a robust silverleaf). The back of the aluminum sheet is covered with an easy to use place-and-stick adhesive. IMO, it's perfect to finish plastic parts for a kit that has a real world analog...like a radiator, for instance. It even does a decent job passing as chrome (see attached pic of 1:24 scale car bumper)...while the Matte Aluminum finish does have a slightly-less brilliant luster, the more realistic metal finish helps balance visual believability. I've used various "chrome sprays" and paint pens and this has given better results when doing larger, (mostly) flat surfaces without too many complex curves. Overall, this was better than expected...considering the price you pay for one sheet. Cheers, and happy modeling!

I'm building a model car and needed something to duplicate aluminum. I think this will work great.

This is a unique product and nothing is quite like it for simulating metal surfaces.

Have used this for numerous model builds. Works great but is somewhat delicate so take your time.

I haven't used this foil as yet, but I think it will work well.

Not easy to work with!!
