Greenwald's Carpet, Fabric & Upholstery Cleaner and Stain Remover. Spray Bottle + Enough to Make 3 quarts

I just moved into an apartment where I don't believe the previous tenants even owned a vacuum (see photo!) I ordered Amazon's #1 reccommended carpet cleaner and was only mildly impressed with the results. It was pulling tons of black water out of the carpets, but they still weren't looking very clean. I read around and it sounded like pre-treating could be helpful. I Found this product and bought it based on the reviews, continued to scrub and scrub in vain for 2 days until it arrived (hand delivered several hours before promised by Amazon on a Saturday, thank you!) and then the magic started. When it first arrived I was on my way out, but I couldn't help myself and tested it on a few really bad stains... it had about and 85% success rate, which was light years ahead of everything else I'd tried. Unfortunately some stains are permanent no matter what you do. I was so excited by the results that once I got home again I started scrubbing with a nail brush at all the small spots in my hallway that I had given up on. Encouraged by my results I moved my furniture and started on all the worst spots in the bedroom until I decided to just pretreat and wash the whole thing. The results were incredible. When I used the carpet cleaner after letting it sit for a few minutes the water coming up was more foamy than before and looked about the same color, but the carpet was a completely different color where it passed over. These were the results I had been dreaming of all along! The photo attached shows a section of the living room carpet. The top left area has only been vacuumed, the bottom left was cleaned with the carpet cleaner using only their "Deep Clean Max" shampoo, and obviously the right is done using the same shampoo after pre-treating (just spraying, not even scrubbing!) with Greenwald's!!! In addition to the miraculous results, they've got a really cool concept going. You get enough product to make 3-6 bottles of product depending on if you're using it for carpet or fabrics, a very high quality spray bottle (although my still streams while tightened down to mist...) that is reusable so you're limiting not only the wasted packaging but also not using precious resources to ship around a bottle mostly full of the same water that comes from your faucet. Also, the refill packets are stored in a small plastic case just a little bigger than a pack of cards so they save tons of space and make it easy to never run out. I'm ordering their degreaser and probably their glass and surface cleaner as soon as I use up what I already have on hand! Please come out with a full line of products so every inch of my home can be this clean and make me feel this good about it. Thank you for making me so much happier about my new apartment! The only downside that I didn't anticipate is that now the carpet is actually clean you can see the permanent stains a lot better, like bleach and paint and other things that cannot be cleaned... but can you even consider that a downside?

Got this about a week ago and used it on a line of bacon grease drippings (ooops) that went across our carpet (taking tray with bacon grease across to wood stove to burn) They'd been there over a year and have survived area carpet cleaning and other spot products. Applied Greenwald's once and they mostly got rid of stain but I could see a few were coming back. So applied a second time. I'm hopeful we mostly got them. If so, very high marks but will wait another two weeks and update.I like the little packets -- great idea! No need to buy refill bottle.Update 3 weeks later: Bacon dripping spots coming back as they pick up dirt again but less dark. Still, this is great stuff.

I got this hoping it would take out a couple of mystery stains that I have, but it didn't. I followed the directions completely, and I applied it twice, and still the stain doesn't budge. Still looking for a magic stain remover! On other stains it works perfectly fine, but I was really hopeful as I feel like I have tried everything with no success.

It's supposed to destroy and eliminate yellow urine spots. I tried with 2 packets. Followed the instruction and reapplied the same method 3-4 times. A little bit of the color disappeared, but the stain still remained. I contacted their support and asked what should I do. I was told to use 4 packets. It still didn't work. I bought this, because it stated that it removes urine stains, which it failed.

I am only giving this carpet stain remover a rating of two because it does clean carpet. However, I have had issues with some of their claims.They claim that the bottle comes with six refills for the stain remover... This is 100% true. However, they did not post that you have to use two of those refills per bottle if you're tackling tough stains. Therefore it only comes with three refills if you have a lot of heavy stains or old stains you need rid off. Leading it to be less economically friendly than you would suspect.They also claim that it is one of the best carpet cleaners on the market.. I bought a bottle of generic stain removal spray from Walmart ($2.99 or so for 24 oz) and it worked ten times better than this.Pros:Greenwald does seem to care about customers.Does clean carpets (just not very well).Cons:Costs more than you originally think.Doesn't clean as well as I would like.Not as many refills as you're led to believe.Overall, I would definitely avoid this one. The stain removal is NOT strong, and it will not save you money.

Okay, this stuff is amazing! I never write reviews, but I was so amazed by this product, I HAD to take a picture and implore anybody that has cheap apartment carpet to try this before anything else! Unfortunately, in my apartment, all entry is from the back sliding door (weird, I know) and with all the walking on there, a big black stain began to emerge on the super cheap carpet. I have a steam cleaner, and ran it with a normal carpet cleaning solution, and it barely did anything. I was pretty sad because it just looked so gross right as people walked in the door. I saw the reviews for this product, and decided to give it one last try. This product is miraculous. I sprayed a generous amount, let it sit for a minute, then I ran the cleaner over it and rinsed, and the stain disappeared! By hand, this product also works as I removed many smaller stains by hand throughout my apartment. Bravo to this company for making such an effective product. I can't recommend it highly enough!
