Slotted ZS-14 Acoustic Guitar Nut System

The Zero Glide nut system is a great invention. When you set up your guitar and when you change strings, it would be nice to be able to raise or lower the nut to set the action and avoid buzzing, but that is not possible with a regular acoustic nut. But it is possible with the Zero Glide nut, since it comes with 5-6 different zero fret sizes. So one only has to loosen the strings and slide a larger or smaller fret into the slot in the Zero Glide nut. Being able to change the nut height easily without removing the strings is a wonderful thing. And having a zero fret means cleaner tones on open string notes, and less wear on the nut itself. The only downside of the Zero Glide nut is the great amount of tedious sanding that is often required to get a good fit. But once it fits, it's Great !

I really like how this product makes my guitar sound better. It has also helped with tuning. Note that you do have to sand / prep to make sure it fits your guitar just right, so there is a little work involved - but not too much in my case.Innovative and good value for the money.

Great product, Makes a lot of difference in sound and play ability. To say nothing of staying in tune. I put one on a Ovation Legend made in 1972. The guitar always sounded good but was a little tough to play. This made a world of difference. It is now amazing. I have a friend who can't keep his hands off of it. He likes it better than his Rainsong.

I truly think this was a great addition to my Yamaha FG series guitar. The sound is what you normally get from a bone nut. You will have to really take your time sanding it so it fits perfect. TAKE YOUR TIME. You will need fret nippers which I found on that other auction site online.

Wow, what an innovation! This product eliminates the critical process of nut filing completely disappear to be replaced by a zero fret which enhances the sound of your guitar. It is not without some challenges in installation, but once completed your guitar just sounds and plays better.

Zero Glide nuts work great. If you are handy with woodworking, they are pretty easy to install!

A little difficult puting it on.

Be aware that the package provided includes only four of the possible six fret sizes available. For a guitar I think the fret size, colour coded red and .035" high is most likely to be used (actually the fret size closest to that installed on your guitar). In the kit provided to me this was not included and a instead a black super jumbo .057" had been provided. BTN responded proactively to the mix up and provided the missing red fret which is the one I have used. You should refer to the Zero Glide web site for the actual sizes of the frets that should be supplied.I'm very pleased with the performance of the Zero Glide. I fitted on a Martin 000-28, the action is low and consistent across all strings. I also think there has been an improvement in tone.
