Audrey Levatino is a woman with a passion and one who writes a book that almost everyone will find informative and entertaining.She has laid out the sequence of steps necessary for a woman to take up the challenge of becoming a woman-farmer. I liked the book because the writing was very impressive and the photographs well done; almost as if by a professional writer and photographer. I compliment Audrey Levatino for writing a book that will prove very valuable to a lot of woman who have always wanted to move from the garden to growing their own vegetables.I have purchase several copies for relatives as gifts, I am sure they will appreciate the book. Finally a book that approaches farming from a woman's perspective. Our bodies do operate differently and this book is a valuable resource for choosing and using tools. And the step-by-step photography of actual women demonstrating the tools and many other chores on the farm is incredibly useful to anyone, regardless of gender. Highly recommended for those just starting out and plenty of great ideas for the more seasoned farmer/grower/animal raiser.

What a waste of money and time.When I saw the cover and title, I hoped I had finally found a book that would give me the info I need to do this farming thing myself. The only useful piece of information I found was "You need to buy a tractor."The stories of being the cause of the rooster's death through negligence and "I can't do it myself so I call my neighbors for help" were anything but inspiring.Instead of Woman Powered Farm, this book should be titled "How to Make Money at Farming, But Not By Yourself"

This book is very informative and helpful to any women wanting to go into farming. I definitely recommend this book. It teaches different ways to do tasks on the farm without straining your body, gives a history into women and farming and how to deal with the stresses of farm life.
