The most awesome rice cooker ever!
The most awesome rice cooker ever! After washing all the pieces, grab the instructions, read them, understand them, and follow them. This is hugely important to the success of your rice. We use a short grain brown rice, purchased here from Amazon in bulk from Lundgerg farms, and it came out fluffy and delicious. The real key is the fact that they stress cooking the rice at 700 W. Well that means I just simply turn the power down on my 1200 W microwave. I also followed their suggestion to soak the short grain rice for 30 minutes prior to cooking and then cooked the 2 cups of rice, following the package directions, in 3 1/4 cups of water. I set the timer for 20 minutes and then let it sit for the requested 15 minutes afterwards. This was the best, no fuss rice ever! While it may not be faster then cooking it on the stove, it does require a lot less up and down and checking.

Best rice cooker I have ever had
I have 3 of these now- just in case. It's a terrific rice cooker. No monitoring a pot on the stove, just 14 minutes in the average 1100 microwave. So easy to use that I have strayed from the instructions and now use it for other things. I don't use the included measuring cup, just 2 cups of rice to 2 1/3 C. of water or stock. Wild rice takes a bit longer. After 14 minutes I check it and add a few more minutes. I've used it for individual servings of oatmeal, grits, quinoa and pasta too. After cooking, if you are trying to get it all on the table at the same time but have misjudged a bit, just leave it in the microwave with the lid on and it will stay hot. Throw it in the dishwasher and you are finished. My first one is now 2+ years old and heavily used so it holds up well. I love this thing!

Good one!
I’ve been using a small microwaveable rice cooker (from Daiso) for at least 6 yrs now for traveling. I wanted to have a bigger one for our RV use because the small one is just good for myself, hahaha! I can eat 2 cups all by myself. Anyways, this can hold total of 6 cups cooked rice (3 cups uncooked). As expected, there’s a little boil over, which is not a big deal, I just put a plate underneath to catch it. Since I made that much it took me total of 20min. microwaving. Rice turned out really great and flaky. Easy cleaning and love the handle.

Works Great
I purchased this microwave rice cooker to replace another one I had used for years. I particularly liked that it was BPA free and found that it worked just as advertised. Makes rice cooking and clean up as easy as pie.I would like to say though that the instructions say to cook at 700 watts but I have never owned a microwave that easily let you know how many watts it uses. I found instructions for microwaving on my bag of Jasmine rice and tried them. It worked even better than the cooker directions. 1C of Rice to 2C of water, can add salt and a little butter or oil, and cook on high for 5 minutes and then on 30% for 10 minutes. Rice came out perfect.

Great for small batches of rice
I have been using a larger container for microwaving rice for years. I really like to make my rice in the microwave, but I was ending up with huge quantities, and then having to store a large container in the refrigerator. I was looking for a container which would store more easily, but still had the ease of microwaving. This product does all that I want and, in my opinion, is easier to use than the previous model because of more vents placed in the 2 lids. I make brown rice which needs 2:1 water to rice ratio. I made a 4 cup batch which turned out great. I was worried that there might be plastic pieces or rice infused with the smell of plastic. This did not happen. I look forward to using this cooker a lot.

This is a good one
To me these things do a far better job of cooking rice than a rice cooker does, it's just that it takes a bit more thought to get it right. You need to learn how much time at what power level for your machine and how much rice you're cooking but once you get that right there's no crust of slightly overdone rice at the bottom like there is with a rice cooker. The clamps that hold the top on are very solid and the two layers of the top are separate pieces so it's easy to clean every surface. Everything I want in a microwave rice cooker. The only downside I see to these is the handle on the cover is tall and this is something that I'm sure the vast majority of users won't care one bit about.

This was the best buy for my kitchen this year!! If you want easy try this product!!
I hate electric rice cookers!! The cords are always short, so the steam always hits my expensive cabinets. The electric rice cookers are always boiling over and clean up is a mess every time. This microwave rice cooker is a jewel; add your rice the water and spices and pop it in the micro wave. It is quick way to cook rice and easy clean up. The rice never sticks to the cooker

White rice but not brown rice
I started with brown rice, even tho the instructions did not provide direction when cooking same. It was totally undercooked -bleh. Based on reviews I decided to try white rice and it was perfect. It is easy to clean. It is convenient. I'll keep it.
