Fox OutdoorProducts Tactical Field Briefcase

This is one awesome tactical briefcase! There are far more features than are mentioned in the product description, including a mini-briefcase for your laptop inside the main briefcase; multiple pockets with velcro closings, fastening loops inside the briefcase; a gazzilion Molle straps, velcro loops for attachment, hidden compartments, and all solidly constructed from ballistic nylon Cordura. As retired military, I really appreciate tough, innovative design for tactical equipment, and I was very pleasantly surprised by the durability and imaginative construction of this product!

I wanted a laptop bag that reflected my military experience and this one does the job. I use it for my work laptop, Dell Precision M4800, and it fits great. Plenty of compartments for a lot of stuff. It comes with a separate padded protector sleeve for your laptop, that goes in its own compartment. This has it's own handle, so you can use it separately, which I do for convenience sake, when not needing all my other items.

The bag is great. Solidly made, tons of storage, I love it. But it gets 3 stars because the dimensions are wrong. The 14in dimension is actually only 11in. I took pix.I measured my laptop to make sure this bag would fit and I can't begin to tell you how disappointed I was. I originally ordered this from Sportsman's Guide at a better price, but it was on back-order. I got tired of waiting so I cancelled that order and ordered it from Amazon. Paid extra for next day shipping. I was stoked to get this bag and finally put my new machine in a safe bag. It shows up, the internal sleeve...no way it would fit. So I took it out, and put the laptop in the main compartment...now joy. I measured it and it's only 11 inches...not even close to the advertised 14in. So now I have to send it back and start my search over again for a bag that will actually work.

I got the Olive colored bag and just opened it. So far I love it. It is a large bag with plenty of space for another laptop, legal pad, tablet and anything else you might need for your meeting. The front pockets snap off if you don't like/need them you can remove them for a cleaner look. There is also a small zipper pocket on the backside for miscellaneous items. They do have a small Velcro strip in the middle of the front cover where you can put a patch with your name, American flag or anything else you want to personalize it. I plan to keep this bag for a while, but just got it last night and wanted to share my first impressions.

UPDATE 10-31-18: I noticed a couple days ago that the pad on the shoulder strap is coming apart (see attached pic). I haven't really used it a lot, mostly it sits next to my desk, but for the last few weeks I've been taking it to work every day. I use the shoulder strap maybe half the time. This doesn't bode well for the quality of the bad. Removing one star.Good bag.I haven't really used it much, but it looks well-constructed, and lots of pockets. I'll be using it extensively in a week when I fly back to the east coast for 10 days. It will be home to my new MSI 15.6" laptop, wireless mouse, 10" Samsung tablet, chargers, external batteries, and cords.

I was looking for a computer bag for my Dell and thought this would be a good idea. Boy was I right. Thisis perfect for my laptop, smart phone, tablet, and all the little extraneous doodads I carry and call an "office". If it doesn't fit in this bag, you probably don't need it. I'm also tough on gear so this will definitely get a major stress test.

The Molle system that this bag claims to have is not as advertised, the straps are gigantic and oversized and the buckles that secure the pouches closed are brittle and like to fall off the straps and the steel rivets that hold the carry handle on are also very brittle and both broke off after probably 5 months of use plus this bag barely fit my 17 inch laptop.

5 stars. Looks great, and very well made. Easily holds a 17" notebook, with lots of extra space besides. It hold just as much as a standard briefcase, plus a laptop. Love the manly look too.UPDATE: Almost 6 months later and I'd still give it 5 stars. Just remember that this is NOT a military bag. It is an attache case/computer bag made to LOOK military. Even so, I have mine loaded up to about 25 lbs and it works and carries just fine.
