Good price good tool
Works great! Good price and sturdy. Bought the whole "brass smith" set... primer thing doesn't do much... but that doesn't effect the function of the ram if you take it off. Overall I'm very satisfied.

Awesome single stage press!
This is an awesome press and I am happy to add it to my loading bench! It’s solid cast iron and quality built to last a lifetime. Highly recommend!!!!

A great press to do the simple task like seating bullets.

Very sturdy construction
This press is a bit different from other o frames as the distance between the front and rear straps are very short! I haven't measured it so I can't list the exact measurements. The rear strap is absolutely massive in comparison to other brands, but the front strap is thinner than any of the others. The casting has several flaws everywhere from the base to the top of the press where the die screws in there are chips of metal missing everywhere! This press should have never been sold as first quality, but rather as a factory second! The priming system is very finicky on this press. It requires pulling back on the priming lever assembly and shaking, wiggling etc. To get it to drop the primer into the cup. It will on occasion seat them sideways because the cup catches on the shellholder and flips it. If you're used to the Redding priming system you'll be able to figure this one out in short order, but if you are currently using a Lee priming system you're probably not going to be happy with this system. I never used the feed system on my rockchucker when I owned it so I can't compare it to this one. I purchased this press due to it's low price while including the priming system. I was originally going to purchase another lee turret when this press caught my eye. Regardless of the cosmetic flaws and the learning curve with the priming system I'm rating it overall four stars because the priming system does work, but you have to go slow and pay attention to it and learn when to slide the arm into the ram slot otherwise you're going to have problems with it. The ram alignment is about as good as the rcbs and the lee classic cast so it produces good quality ammo. The ram did have some drag in it as well, but after cleaning it and graphite coating it the press broke in within fifty rounds. If I had been able to try this one before buying it I would have probably opted for another rcbs if I were looking for a single stage, but this is a fine overbuilt press that will last longer than any of us here today!

very sturdy and well made
I think this product is probably one of the best values due to the quality of the build. The C frame design of this press allows easy access during the process. The visibility when reloading is great also. Cast iron not aluminum gives the solid feel when reloading and handle position is very user friendly.

Having the ram directly in line with the die is critical for accuracy.
Many of these new Coax presses have a tendency to bind, and after a little wear, the shell holder and die are coming at each other at an angle. This press is easier to use than an O type press and still does the hardest full length resizing without any flex. I only wish the primer went completely through the ram, and out the bottom like the Lee rotary, with 1 1/4 inch ram.. It gets ash on the ram like RCBS, Hornady and all the rest. I may drill the ram completely through, or deprime on an old junk press. The close tolerances of this press is amazing, and I don't want any abrasion on the ram. A truly precision press.

Excellent method of priming cases!
I just discovered this method of priming. I've been hand loading for over 40 years and I've used all sorts of methods but this one is totally foolproof and it completely removes the subjectivity of priming by "feel". You can set this to prime to an exact depth and not worry about it at all. The ONLY criticism I have is, it comes with one seating punch and you have to change the cup on the end of the punch to covert to/from the primer size. I immediately ordered extra parts from Lyman so that I'd have both the small and the large priming punch assembled and easy to drop in. It would cost them pennies more and it would be much handier. It's still the best and most accurate priming method I've ever found.

Underwhelming
A press doesn't need to be tight and precise. In fact a little play can be a good thing. What it DOES need is good ergonomics and smoothness so that each action is comfortable and repeatable. It should be enjoyable to use. This press isn't it.The ram is very rough, even after careful cleaning, lubrication, and working it a few hundred strokes. The bottom pivot is very, very sloppy and this translates to unwanted rocking in the handle. All in all it is a cheaply put together press with little regard to fitment quality. Will it do the job ? Yes. Will it do it smoothly? Not a chance.A press can last a lifetime. I still use presses I purchased over 30 years ago. Since presses are anything but disposable and can be considered a lifetime tool it's worth spending a few extra dollars and getting a nice one. There are great presses out there for $200 or less and any of them would serve better than this one. I was quite disappointed in it.. which is sad because I like the company and I like the design. As per usual the failure is in the execution.

Pressa
