Have You Thanked an Inventor Today? Paperback – May 18, 2016

I purchased this book to read to my son's 2nd grade class. The book is wonderful and it made connections to the everyday activities/tasks that the kids do daily. It was educational and many of the adults were not aware of the inventions. I would recommend.

This was an excellent addition to our family library! My six year old especially loved reading this and enjoyed the fun activities at the end of the book that helped to solidify the names of some of the inventors that he just learned about! Would recommend this book for any family! We were especially excited to read this book to celebrate black history month, I’m sure it will be read again many more times.

My kid stood under the a/c and said, "I"m so glad they guy in the Inventor book made and air conditioner!! What was soooo coool is he remembered the inventor and he remembered what he invented, and how beneficial it was to do; he is associating inventions with people from all backgrounds, meaning its something that will come naturally for him not to assume that we weren't a part of creating things... He loved the book, very easy and fun to read.... and fun to remember.... I can't say enough about this book except its a winner!

My first graders had so much fun with this book. It’s perfect for talking about inventors and for Black History Month. A cute story of a child going through his day, thanking inventors for everyday items he uses. Some fun activities at the end that got them thinking about things they could invent, really great book!

This is a very cute book. The storyline is great and easy to follow. My almost 5 year old son enjoyed this book. There is a small biography section in the back, some questions and riddles. I had no issues with how the book was printed.

I can not say enough about this book!! I loved it and learned a lot. A great conversation starter for your children to learn that the everyday things they use was invented by an African American Inventor. Well written and the illustrations are beautiful and fun. I am looking forward to using this in my homeschool this year.

This book has been so inspirational to my family and I am sure many other readers as well. It is truly important to know our history and those who have paved the way to help our society grow and be strong. My little one always grabs this book before bedtime and points out the items in the illustration to confirm who invented what. If I could give more than a five star rating I would. What a cute book.I love the story and how everything the little boy does leads to a black inventor.Very easy to read!

Valuable in that it shows everything is invented/designed and everyone/ anyone can be an inventor/designer who solves practical problems

My son really loves when we read it to him.

This book was an eye opener, more so for me than my children or my neices and nephews. So many inventor are unheard of and I talking about those in the black community. This was especially great for my son, who didn't realise that black men had contributed so much to our world other than being great at sports.

Grandsons enjoyed it.
