Wonderful!
We live in an old cottage built in the 1700s.And this made such a difference to our dining room. Easy to apply, and only came down when the kittens destroyed it (after 4 months ).Noticeably kept the room warmer and dryer.

Good product seems to work well.
The product is good and seems to work well. The downside is the box I received had been opened and was torn. The film seemed to be intact, however, the double sided tape had obviously been unrolled and rolled back badly and covered in dirt and fluff. I cut off the first bit and proceeded to install. I can't finish the job as there is nowhere near enough tape. I'm thinking some tape has been removed. Can't return without undoing all the work I've already done. No other options except to return. Now have to buy more tape. Disappointed. Be warned to check if all intact, another review says some film had been cut off! You have the option of a replacement if you can return it. I've knocked stars off but more for amazon than the product

Box opened, and film missing 4'
The Stormguard box was damaged. It had been ripped at the top, and was open. When I checked the film, it was only 9 feet long, and not 13 feet as advertised.Someone had obviously bought this box before, opened it, cut off the 4 feet they wanted, and then returned it.So I would strongly suggest measuring the length of the film before use.Amazon Return and Replacement currently in progress, but will apparently take 2 weeks.I've used this product before, when it was the correct length! I used it in my home office and have left it up for about 5 years without any issues. I think it is effective, especially on old single-glazed windows. Decided to do several more rooms to try to help with the current gas and electricity prices. It can be a bit tricky to fit on sash windows, especially around the window locks. But otherwise reasonable straight-forward.I would give it 5 stars from my previous usage, but only one star buying it from Amazon.

PAINFUL to fit. The tape is not sticky enough, and not enough of it!
Expect much swearing and frustration dealing with this tape (15m of tape, check that's enough for you). I'm not sure what's weaker, the adhesion of the tape to my clean & properly prepared window frames, or the adhesion of the tape to the film.Once you hairdryer it (which is very satisfying to be fair) it does adhere a bit better. But it's still far too weak given this is supposedly a purpose-chosen product designed to stick to this film. As you fit one corner, expect the other to pull loose at the slightest accidental tug.And don't get me started on trimming it to size afterwards. Unless you want to cut straight into your paintwork, even a brand new blade will catch and snag your plastic sheet, potentially pulling it away from the weak tape (which after hairdryering is a bigger issue. I didn't bother to trim after the first window.Being new to it, fitting this to the 8 panes of the 3 windows in my living room took 4 hours (even without trimming) - might just be my perfectionism but I don't see how it could be done much faster.I also had enough plastic to cover the 4 remaining windows I wanted to do, but no more tape. You get 15 metres or so of tape - measure up before buying (or just buy better tape whatever happens...).

It works great until the tape comes off!
I've bought this before and don't remember having to re fit it as I've had to do this winter, I've re fitted it twice now and run out of film, as despite being careful it ripped upon refitting it. This works great until the tape gives up, if it had better / thicker / stronger double sided tape it would be perfect, the actual film works really well for insulation and you can't see it's there if you fit it correctly and use the heat from a hair dryer to gently stretch out any wrinkles.I've since spent £5 on a roll of ultra strong double sided tape and it's stayed up for now.
