Gigolo Paperback – Import, 1 August 2009

A great collection of short stories, set in the Midwest and Chicago in the early 1900's. Her characters are vivid and memorable.

Having read her better known novels years ago, this collection of short stories was a disappointment. They seemed cold, brittle, and flat compared to the broad swash of history and color of Saratoga Trunk or Giant.

It is well worth your time to read about America of yesteryear.
